how does it work...moving luggage between resorts

Just curious...we really, really, really want to stay very badly at the AKL, however, we are going to have a friend's kid with us which means a deluxe room = lots of $$$. So I was hoping to spend one night at the AKL then switch to 2 value rooms. My question: We would want to head to the parks early the next day after staying at AKL (for an EMH)..how would I set up getting my luggage taken between resorts? How do they do this? I am hopoing it is as easy as taking my luggage to the desk area early am and have it at the new hotel when i check in. Hoping that I can do it quickly and get to the parks quickly. We went from the POFQ to the Poly last year as well as from the POP to POFQ.
It was very easy, we called luggage services and they came and got our bags tagged them for the resort we were going to and off they went. We in turn went to the parks, and later in the afternoon went to our new resort and checked in. We went to our rooms and luggage service brought our bags within minutes. I think that they said that our luggage would be to the new resort after 1:00. That was fine with us as we are usually at the parks until late in the afternoon any way.

As the previous poster said...it's a snap...just call or take them to Bell Services, make sure they know where to send them too and when you get to your new room call bell services at that hotel and they will bring them to your room.

Sometimes in the AM Bell Service is pretty busy and they may tell you it will be 20 or 30 minutes before they can get up to get your bags....if you don't want to wait the bell stand in the lobby is always attended, so you can just take them down yourself.

On occasion it has been as late at 4:30 or so before our bags arrived at the new room...not a problem if you plan ahead.
