How does FP work for Lights Motors Action?

We are entering the Studios around noon, at a VERY busy time of year, and would like to see the last show of the day of Lights, Motors, Action (currently that's at 5:30 p.m.)

Should we send a runner to the back of the park to get FP's right away? I'm not sure if they will go there for naught, because at 12 p.m. the FP's will only be for the 2:45 p.m. show, if they better go right away, because the 2:45 p.m.'s will be all gone already and we need to get the 5:30's before they are all given out, too.

Is there a way to check on the status of this up at the tip board? Aren't there always CM's up there with walkie talkies who we could ask to check for us?

Do we even NEED a FP for LMA, in summer crowds, for the 5:30 p.m. show, if we get to the stadium 30 minutes in advance?

I am by no means an expept, but the stadium is HUGE! I wouldnt think a FP would be needed. We had dream FP's the day we went and they didnt need the tab.

I believe they have removed Fastpass from LMA. When we were there back in March, there were no machines.

If I remember correctly, when we were there last year, there wasn't a FP for LMA. It was first come, first serve seating. We went to the first showing, about 25 mins before the start time, and had no trouble at all. I think they only do 2-4 shows a day (maybe more during Peak season). At any rate, I don't recall seeing a FP distribution for this.

When I went to LMA with my parents in March, there was a CM outside of the attraction handing out the FPs. We wanted to go to the next showing, so I don't know if you could request a particular time. Since we had FPs, we were allowed to enter before the rest of the crowd, so I don't know if anyone wasn't able to get into the show. I should say that we went during the beginning of the "Spring Break season."
