How does Boardwalk look ? Construction Exterior?

Anyone seen the Boardwalk exterior lately? Or anyone hear about the rehab.? Are the construction things still up around the Boardwalk area?

We arrive in 3 weeks!!! with a Boardwalk view!

Do they put people in those rooms while the construction is going on?

We were at BWV last month, and watched the construction going on while we were lounging at the pool. It looked like the painters were on very tall scaffolding and they were painting the exterior of the building, and going in and out of the balcony doors of some of the villas. I wouldn't think that those villas were occupied with painters going in and out.

Went to BWV yesterday, the front corner Boardwalk side was scaffold and being painted. I don't know about the interior. I really didn't notice it until I walked out of the store and noticed the corner boarded up and looked up.

I do believe I read somewhere that they do NOT assign the rooms in the areas of the construction. Some folks were "relocated" and didn't receive their original room request because of this.

So if you have requested a specific location/view I'd definately call and see what the status of your request is now and not when you check in.

I'd like to know too. I'll be there in 3 weeks with a boardwalk view too.

We were there 9-29 TO 10-7 The rooms being renovated were not being used. Yes there is scaffolding up in some places but it did not spoil our trip. We had great weather & a wonderful time!! Our family of ten really enjoyed the boardwalk!! Don't worry, have FUN!!

we were there thru 10/1-10/9.
there were temp walls along thimbles & threads the first few days (taken down around the 5th).
scaffolding/construction was being done in the luna park area, by the walkway to the arcade.

during the beginning/middle of our vaca, it appeared that ppl were only pushing floor 4 on the elevator. near the end, there were a few on the fifth floor. btw, i did peek (in the stairwell), & floors 2 & 3 were obviously under renovation. a temp door was erected on the lobby level right side as you enter the elevator area, with a sign that it was being renovated.

we had a renovated studio, BW view (4013 - the second ppl to stay there since reno), complete with flat screen TV,dvd player, new curved shower curtain rod.
btw, we didn't encounter any noise or inconvenience b/c of the renovations
