How does an affair usually start?

This is about my best friend that I am concerned about. Things seem harmless right now, but I told her she should probably watch her step, but I think she likes the attention either that or is a bit niave.

It's most of the time the attention that they think they are not getting at home. When in fact it's just they have become accustomed to what they have.

Sadly there is nothing you can do or say, just be there for her when things fall apart as they always do.

I will admit to falling into this trip in my former life (pre-Christian, pre-DH). It was always the attention and the thrill of the chase that lured me. Once I "caught" him, it wasn't all that thrilling anymore. Let's face it - a new relationship is like a powerful drug. It's exciting. It lifts you up high. But inevitably, you gotta come back down.
