How does akershus work?

I was looking at the menu and it says that dinner is family style but it doesn't seem right that you get all that food? Does each person pick an entree then they just put it in one big plate? Are the appetizer and dessert included? So how does it work?? Thanks!!

There's a cold buffet to start- cheeses, cold meats, salad, etc. Then each person orders their entree- all come in separate plates. Dessert is brought family style to share- and assortment of Norwegian desserts.

Last time I was there, it was still AYCTE, but brought to the table.
