How do you wear your hair at the parks?

Can't go wrong with a ponytail in the humid Florida weather. :cool1:

When I'm at am amusement park I always put my hair in a ponytail. Keeps me cooler and less tangles at the end of the day. My hair is long and straight and never looks neat by the end of the day unless I tie it back or comb it about every hour.

My hair is so curly an has a natural bit of frizzies to it that I don't even notice the humidity in Florida. Learned many many years ago not to try to fight the curls or the frizz only makes it frizz more!!!

Layered cut with the longest almost to my waist when wet but by the time it drys only to top of my shoulders and I don't have a 1/4th the curls now as I did as a teen lol.

Ponytail is the only way to go which I do hate but can't stand my hair down when hot.

Hottest summer I ever had was the year I had it cut to the nap of my neck and it laid on the back of my neck all summer and couldn't get it off my neck.

Oh and the last 2 times I was at disney I got my hair dusted with pixie dust. 1 st time it was only a day or 2 into my visit and I was there a week. Went to the water parks, swimmin in the hotel pool and washed hair daily still came home with pieces of pixie dust in my hair from where it kept gettin tangled in my curls rather than falling out.

Last time I had it gelled and dusted the last day we was in the park. I wore the gell and dust home as the pixie dust fell out of my hair which took a good week and half for all of it to come out I just left the dust where it fell. I'm still finding pixie dust in my van from the trip home and I've saved a few pieces that fell down between the cushins in my couch I pick those up to save when I vaccum couch and drop them back down there. Saved the pixie dust to make the magic last longer.

Thanks for the pix! Definitely something I'm looking for, though I think I'd need a ton of gel since my hair is so flat otherwise. Thanks again!

BTW, your kids are too cute!

I use spray gel before I dry it and then I use styling wax, which gives it a piecey/chunky sort of look (I think the brand is LA Looks, something like that. I actually found it at the dollar store since I couldn't find it at Target anymore.)

My hair is very thin, straight and fine and looks horrendous in a ponytail, so I curl my hair and fix it in an up-do secured with a clip. I plaster on the hairspray so by the end of the day it still looks good.

I am growing my hair for our September trip so it will fit in a ponytail. I will also wear a hat.

When I have long hair, I wear it in a ponytail. When I have short hair, it's SHORT, like a pixie cut. I almost prefer the pixie cut. I end up looking pretty beastly with the ponytail after a long hot day at WDW. The words "drowned rat" come to mind. But I won't cut my hair yet. I need to find a good pixie cut that will make me look older (I'm 20 but most people think I'm 12-15). I leave in less than two weeks, so ponytail it is!

Mine frizzes up something awful in the Florida humidity - I've given up. I put on a baseball cap and forget about it. :)

I have also given up on the cute doo while I'm in the parks! usually a scrunchy in a pony tail or twist your hair on top of your head with a clip. I get hot really easy so any way I can get my hair off my neck works for me!
