How do you wash your red clothing?

I usually save them up and do a big load of reds in cold water.

Usually just throw them in with jeans. We don't really have much red.

I do not own much red stuff in the way of clothes, but for what I do, I use cold water. I wash my red clothes with my purple towels.

I seperate by color the best I can, but have you ever tried those color catcher sheets? They work REALLY well!

I use a Shout Color Catcher sheet in every load of colors I do and haven't had any issues with the colors running onto each other. For me they are worth the $. :)

ITA! I find that a lot of the time I can tear them in 1/2 and they'll still catch any loose dye, and that makes them cheaper/last longer. You can also reuse them if they don't get saturated with dye the first use. I use them in every single load. They are worth every cent.

I've used color catcher sheets for yrs.
Our town's college colors are Orange and Garnet. I usually have enough for a full load but when I don't--color catchers.

And a another hint if you do a load of laundry at WDW--taking color catcher sheets and also Purex detergent sheets and you can wash all kinds of clothing together. Mom and I did this last month at the Dolphin and it really made doing laundry quick and easy. :)

I throw reds in with my 'dark' clothes. I know that some people do a separate red load, but I'm a little bit lazy (okay, more than a little) and just sorting dark and light is enough of a challenge for me.

Reds with red only. I solved the "full load" issue by buying red towels. :thumbsup2 Now, I always have some towels to round out a small load of reds.

I also own navy towels to go in with my blue jeans. See the pattern?

I washed my red shirt with my socks,:laundy: my wife threw my socks away, I took them back out.

she said, They make HER look bad? How do they make her look bad?

I'm the one wearing Pink Socks.:cool1:

I'm a little picky when it comes to laundry and I don't wash towels with other clothing because I don't like the fuzz they leave behind on some things :lmao:.

Me too! We don't have a lot of red clothing in this house, so not enough for a load, ever. I like the Color Catcher sheets a lot...they catch the blue/black from jeans and don't let the color run on dark clothing with light accents (like white stripes).

Worth every penny in my opinion!!

I'm the same way...towels only get washed with towels (and maybe sheets...)

After a red has been washed once and has shown not to bleed, then I'll make a red/pink load. But really it depends. We have enough pinks in this house to do just pink loads. Sometimes, I just gamble as we don't have that many reds.

Me too! They are awesome!

I wash the reds with the blacks and navys and other darks. My partner works at Target so I wash a lot of red shirts!
