I am pretty lucky- I get to wear jeans. very casual dress which is nice cause suits are so expensive, especially dry cleaning them

I work at a university, so it is very laid-back and casual. I wear Hawaiian shirts (Disney ones if they're not in the hamper) with shorts in the warmer months and with jeans in the cooler months.

I sometimes feel overdressed because I wear athletic shoes, rather than the flip-flops so many others here wear!

Casual business formal, I guess.

We can wear suits or dressy suits or capris as long as they are not ratty cotton or cargo. We often wear heels with capris, or with stylish short-cut business pants with matching or color-coordinated jackets. ANd skirts. Long flow-y skirts and pretty sandals are nice, too.

Jeans are also allowed but they have to be clean and not with holes. Sneakers are also allowed but again, clean and stylish and not ratty.

I wear jean capris on Fridays with one of my company-related t-shirts or Aloha shirts. (tee-hee!)

When I took my govt job, I started making much less money than I was in the private sector. That combined with a salary freeze for the last two years made me swear off monkey suits. Now, it's khakis and a golf shirt. Jeans on Friday.

dress pants and tops. We can be casual on Fridays, but I don't do it. Since I am not full time yet, I want to set the example every time.

Business casual, with a lab coat, so I was in 2 catagories.

We used to have casual friday, but the hoochies started wearing tight jeans, and see thru shirts, so it went bye bye! Shame when adults can't follow rules.

Business formal every day all year long - not even business casual in the summer!

Business formal every day all year long - not even business casual in the summer!

Same here, suits every day. We have one day that is business casual each year and that is an annual meeting that takes place right before our charity golf tournament. We don't even have casual Friday's.

I work for a big box retailer, so it is kind of a business casual uniform. Black pants and blue long sleeve button down shirt. Others in our store are khaki pants and company issued blue polo style shirt.

We aren't supposed to dress nicer than our clients and since they are all in jeans so are we. Dressing up to me is dress boots and my fancy cowboy hat. There are downsides, I went to the bank this week and a teller told me to "go back and tell my boss to call her so she can ask question.' I am the CFO and primary, so I guess I must have been really dressed down...lol...She must have pictured some buttoned down corporate exec, not me in my flip flops clutching a big gulp.

Uniform. They supply the hat and shirt and we have to provide the black pants and black shoes, preferably slip-resistant.

In our office we wear business casual according to the dress code given to us by the Dean. In his office (two secretaries), capris and flip-flops seems to be the within the code. Down the hall, in another department, jeans and t-shirts are within the same dress code--and we are not talking dress jeans; tight, faded jeans. So apparently it depends on your interpretation of the words "dress professionally". :confused3

I have decided to buy some khakis and polo shirts in school colors and just wear that as a "uniform" every day. Not quite as dressy as we usually wear, but not the jeans and capris of other areas either.

Business casual.
Can't wear jeans or shorts. Can't wear sleeveless shirts or tennis shoes... But, khakis, dress pants, polos, poplins, dresses etc are good.

Your poll is not accurate, completely.
I wear everything from formal suits to hard hat-work boots-long pants/shirt-respirator-oxygen sensor-radio to crocs-shorts and a light shirt.

then also the winter weather outfit.

I'm in childcare so jeans & a t-shirt is acceptable but I usually wear jeans or capris & a nice shirt. I'm looking for a new job so I may have to upgrade to business casual.

Skirts in the summer, dress pants in the winter, and jeans on Fridays. I'm loving this week because I get to wear jeans today (end of the semester picnic), tomorrow (professional development day), and then on Friday. :thumbsup2

When I was a teacher, I wore khakis or capris almost everyday with a school polo or a sweater. On Fridays (or other days when I was just not "feeling" it), I wore jeans and a sweatshirt with our school logo.

Now that I'm a SAHM, I wear yoga pants/jeans/capris every day with a maternity t-shirt.

I don't work yet, but will be going into hospital rotations in a couple months, and I know our dress code is business casual with a white coat over it, except when on psych, apparently, psych patients don't like the white coat. Guys must wear collared shirts and a tie, girls have somewhat more leeway. We can wear skirts, pants, sweaters, blouses, etc. Closed toe shoes for everybody. Scrubs when we're going to be in the OR or delivering babies or on overnight call. So not sure which category that fits in to.

Work in the trucking industry. We are pretty much all wear jeans during the winter and capri's during the summer. There are times when we will wear bermuda shorts - Memorial day, July 4th, and Labor day - cookouts.

There are time when the terminal manager will ask us to make sure we wear one of our logo shirts. It is usually when a customer or carrier is going to be coming in for a visit.
