How Do You Use MS?

How Do You Use Member Services? Choose the most appropriate one for you.

  • CALL: To book reservation with requests or to cancle existing.

  • CALL: To book reservations, cancellations, and Priority Seating (most of the time PS is an add'l cal

  • CALL: To book other travel needs - airlines, car rentals, etc.

  • CALL: To book reservations day-by-day for Peak Travel periods.

  • CALL: To inquire about my point balance, banking and/or borrowing options.

  • CALL: Other miscellaneous questions.

  • I hardly ever use MS EMAIL: To book reservations and cancellations.

  • I hardly ever use MS (you poor soul, You must need more points!)

Inspired by another thread, where it is estatimate that each of us could, on average, make 17 calls to Member Services each year.

I often will use MS for many tasks. The waits are less than Dining Services and it toll free (a nice option when at work).
 
Until DVC gets decent online account management and reservation capability I will deal direct with MS over the phone.

I enjoy the folks who staff the DVC call center, so I might still call for some items just to keep in touch.
 
So far I have only had the occassion to call and ask alot of questions and to book our first trip home (SSR opnening day!)...

But I voted for the PS's because I plan to do that one too, in Feb.

Actually several of the options all applied at one time or another. You set the poll up as only allowing one response. Don't know if you can change it now to allow multiple responses. (If you can't I think the webmasters can.)

Mostly it's just for reservations/banking.

We do Day-by-Day for our NYE reservations.

Also call on occassion for some point management items. (Two of my contracts are different use years)

Have used e-mail for some general inquiries about availability when wanting to check several dates prior to making plans.

Have made reservations at 11-months for home resorts and called back at 7-months to try to get a non-home resort.

Since 1993 have only had to cancel a reseration once. (Not including the 11-month/7-month changes which technically are cancellations)
 
I wish we could have chosen multiple answers - I also use them to check point balances and banking points
