How do you use codes?

I hope these are not silly questions but......

How do you use codes?

Can anyone use them?

Where do you get a code?

Do you just call and make reservations and give them the code?

I usually just wait until Disney runs a special on its web site. Thanks for all the info and Im sorry if these are "silly" questions.

Check out www.mousesavers.com. Any available codes will be posted there. Sometimes there are codes anyone can use, and sometimes they are only for AP holders or residents of certain states.

We used a code for the first time on our trip in June. I happened to see it posted here on the Disboards. We already had our reservations and a AAA discount but I called CRO and asked if could use this code. The person said yes and a few days later I received a new confirmation with the code and a BIG drop in the price.
