How do you transport your sunscreen when you fly?

I certainly don't want to have buy any at Disney since we're using ME and won't have a car to go to a local drugstore. Do you just throw the bottles in your checked luggage? Can you put aerosol cans in there, or do you use regular bottles? It's been 10 years since I've flown and I wasn't sure what the best way was, given newer rules on liquids.

I always put a larger bottle, or spray in the checked bags. In a Freezer ZipLoc. That is just in case the tons of baggage on top manage to create enough pressure to squeeze the bottles of shampoo etc,

I take a small travel with a clip on in my carry on as the ME will not have the luggage in the room for a long time. If you are in the heat you want your suits, sunscreen etc in the carry on's.

I was at CVS and noticed they had 3 oz. tubes of CVS sunscreen. I was thinking about getting a couple of these for our trip.

I have put the aerosol sunscreen spray cans in my checked luggage. I always put all health and beauty aids in ziploc plastic bags. I usually put a couple travel-size lotion sunscreen in the 3-1-1 quart bag in my carryon.

Same as the others - I put it in a ziploc in my checked luggage. Not only can other luggage cause it to spill but air pressure at high altitudes can as well.

Two years ago we were not thinking and carried the sunscreen in our carry-on bag, well, TSA took it.

Last year, we bought a 3oz aerosol can and carried that and checked the larger bottles with our luggage.

And YES, bring extra... dont buy it there, lots of $$$$$$

I think you could do the stick sunscreen even with a carry on.

I have to use a high SPF sunscreen, so I always pack it because chasing down high SPF sunscreen can sometimes require a trip to a major pharmacy. I put a small quantity into a 3 oz. travel-sized bottle in my carry on and I put the remainder in a ziplock in the checked luggage.

It's best to use the lotion sunscreen, those spray on kind are absolutely worthless. Not only do they only protect just the area you manage to spray, and often times parent spray from too far away not protecting at all or too close creating lines of sunscreen, but many people around you usually don't appreciate it. If you say, you only apply it in room, well then you're not providing any protection throughout the rest of the day.

For the fair skinned, apply it heavy, apply it often, and that means you'll be applying it in the park around other people.

Put all your liquids in a gallon ziploc bag for the checked bag, including toothpaste. Although deodorant is usually safe enough to keep in the carry on.

Many times I've brought things with me one way, and had trouble going back the other way. Like the time I had a tube of toothpaste, went through fine coming to Dallas, but it didn't pass going back to Orlando.

I just read this on the wall at our dermatologist's office. A lady spraying her kids last year got it all over our clothes, doubt the kids got much on them.

I am putting a travel size in my carry on and planning on checking our larger size wrapped in 2 ziploc bags just in case. I bought sunscreen down there last year (because I ran out) and it was WAAAY too expensive and I'm NOT doing that this year.

And I will raise my hand as being a fan of the spray sunscreen. You can see where it has gone on and rub it in for coverage. I am aware of who is around me when I spray it and careful to move a good distance away from people.
We have never once had an issue with not getting good enough coverage and burning.

I agree, I love the spray sunscreen and I always feel like we get better coverage with it. I don't usually carry it in the parks though because we always come back to the room around lunchtime and I reapply there before heading to the pool.

I would never spray it where it would get on someone else.

I also heard complaints from guests all the time about it clogging up or not spraying properly. And it's always noticeable to the ones that don't rub it in properly after spraying it on. They think it's a way to keep it off their hands when applying it.

I hate sunscreens for the most part, but I did find one that was more tolerable. It was a "sports dry" version. It really felt like there was baby powder in it or something, because it didn't have that greasy feeling at all. So it wasn't bad to put on.

i have always done the same too. dd and i put some on in the morning before we leave for our flight and then throw it in a ziploc/in the checked baggage. heath and beauty items are soooooo expensive at disney. we usually have a full bottle for the trip. theres no way i want to pay disney prices for sunscreen!!!
