How do you think FP+ will impact the Recommended Park?

After 1/23 - since it is FP+ only - do you think this will impact the recommended park? As far as daily crowds, I think it is going to make it even more crowded in the afternoons & evenings - just a guess.

We have a trip planned for Easter week - yes, it will be super crowded no matter what. I can book my FP+ on Feb 12. I have some ADRs scheduled already - I am not married to them & will move them if I need to (or if I can) - I will have park hoppers, so it doesn't really matter. ANYWAY - I don't even want to start trying to plan what park to do my FP+ in on what day because I don't know how these changes are going to impact the Recommended Parks. Also - what other changes does Disney have up their sleeve? I am not going to map it all out until very close to my Feb 12th window - that's for sure!

Am I off base to think that everything we know about choosing the best park goes out the window? I guess EMH doesn't change, so maybe the way we choose a park will stay the same?

I agree. Not making concrete plans until closer to my May trip, figuring all kinds of things might change. It does make ADR s more difficult when I'm not sure where we'll be each day.

I think a lot depends on what people are thinking as far as park hopping goes. The new system really is not park hopper friendly, we are considering not park hopping on our upcoming trip (park hopped for last 7 trips), between FP+being for only one park and tiering don't know if it is worth it. So I think quite a bit depends on whether people hop to preffered parks in the afternoon and whether on site guests will go to EMH parks or preffered. Only time will tell....

We are also going Easter week and I know it will be crazy but I am dreading this FP+ business. I am a planner but I think between having to make your ADR's and now FP+, there is nothing left to be spontaneous. If you have a dinner reservation in Epcot and can only get FP+ in MK that day, what do you do? We usually would just decide when we woke up as to where to go or be in the general area of an ADR, there is just too much planning for me.

Regardless of how busy the park is, plan on the ride lines taking longer.

I think the FP+ won't have any effect on "best parks". Most "best park" recommendations are based on EMH: a certain park's EMH compared to other parks EMHs compared to yesterday's EMHs and tomorrow's EMHs. If anything, FP+ will put more pressure on those EMH parks by guests who always do the EMH anyway in addition to those who are just trying to go to a park with fewer people and then save their FP+ for another park.

Same concerns. I start FP"+" booking 2/23 for April trip. Watching it all very closely and will decide closer to that time what plans to put in place.
