How do you tell what the bed arrangements are in a specific cabin?

I think I knew this at one point but am blanking now.
We are booked on the Dream in a cat 4E cabin, 5034 and I am trying to find out whether or not it has a bunk (from the ceiling) and/or trundle. We are only a family of 3, so we don't *need* anything besides the pull out couch, but my son loved sleeping on the bunk when we cruised on the fantasy last year.
TIA! :)

pretty sure the 4Es on the dream have the bunk, it's 299 sq ft and I think they all have the bunk in those verandah rooms

based on some photos I have found on a google search of other cat 4Es on the fantasy, it would appear they have bunks in those rooms

If your room only says it sleeps 3, there's no pull down bunk (only the queen bed & sofa bed). If it sleeps 4, it probably has the pull down bunk in addition. If it says it sleeps 5 there's the pull down bunk, as well as the murphy bed.

Only other way to know for sure is if someone has reported on the room reviews site (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm) as to the configuration of the room.

I can only tell you about 5036 and 5536 on Disney Dream, both of which only slept 3. On Disney Fantasy, I have been in 5536 and my parents in 5534, and it was for 3 only. Of course, there are the lounge chairs on the verandah which can be used for sleeping, especially if someone is a snorer.

Thank you, everyone. I'll have to sort through those links and see if I can find a definitive answer. In the end, it doesn't matter, but I was just wondering. :)

I had this same Dilema. I booked on costco website, when I was selecting a cabin it told me each specific one I selected whether it slept 3 or 4. That was I knew it had a pull down (from the ceiling) bed :) give it a try

The only way to really know is to call dcl and ask about the specific room. Or if you don't want to deal with calling them fill out the contact us email form on the dcl website. I ask them questions that way all the time.

Only problem with this is - the CMs on the phone don't have the information, either. They can only look up the deck plans and read off the same thing we can. That's been my experience.

I'm still finding conflicting information, so I will just go in assuming it only sleeps 3 and be pleasantly surprised if it has an upper berth. I haven't seen many reviews/accounts of this specific cabin, especially with any sleeping information provided.

Exactly. I booked a family deluxe with verandah hoping to get a cabin without the Murphy bed so we will have the blue chair. The DCL CM told me all family cabins sleep 5. He put me on hold to confirm with co-workers and came back to tell me the "consensus" was that yes my cabin would sleep five because all family cabins do.:rolleyes1

The cabin reports on the DIS say no Murphy bed but the thread that lbGraves put together lists it as having one. Hoping the cabin reports are correct. I am going to try the Costco site, too, although we are no longer members.

I fully agree, call DCL, the CMs there are professional, they have access to a lot more information there, and far more than can be obtained here.

They are most helpful and informative when I call them.

Unless someone actually has worked there, they cannot comment of what the CMs can access.

Cat 4e's can't sleep 5. No room for a wall murphy.

As previously stated;

OP's cat 4e cabin 5034 sleeps 3 max. Therefore has no ceiling bunk. Bed and couch only.

So, if I'm piecing together information correctly, the 4e category cabins are the *interior* size of the category 5s but what makes them 4s is the extended balcony?
We were in a larger balcony cabin (forget the category, but it was room 9090 on the Fantasy) last year, so basically, in this cabin (5034 on the Dream), it will be the couch and then door to balcony with little/no space in between (where there might have been a chair in our previous room)? Again, its fine, and we're not traveling until 2017, but I'm just trying to get a picture in my head of what to expect :)

I sailed in 4e on the Fantasy in February and I can confirm that the 4e's on Dream and Fantasy only sleep 3. We had a queen bed and the sofa.
