So, what is your preferred choice of lodging while at the Fort? Do you tent it, do you pull, do you stay in the cabins, do you sneak in with the peacocks and roost in the trees? ;)

Travel trailer for us and we love it. It has just enough room. If it meant staying at the fort i would roost with the peacocks.

We have a 33ft tt....and plan on keeping this one for a while! :thumbsup2 It's a good set up for our family and can even bunk a few friends if needed.

Expandable tt for us. Love the kids room with the 2 sets of bunk beds!!!

BTW, you didn't include a choice for Tabs. Poor Carol, how dare you leave her out. ;)

I have to say thought that if we ever decide to go and the only sites available are partial, we will be buying another tent. Hmmm, maybe I should start looking for a good deal on one now.

Well, I could have made a lot of categories, but I figured anything that you pull behind you we could just classify into one group, compared to having 20 poll options for every different type...lol.

A travel trailer for now. I'd like to upgrade to a 5er and F350 in a few years but with diesel prices they way they are the future doesn't look too bright.

I know Chris. I just had to harass you a little bit.;)

We started out in a pop-up that was nothing more than a floor & two pull out beds - borrowed, at that!!!

We've stayed in tents, up-graded pop-up, TT, truck camper, Class C MH, Class A MH's, and the cabins. I guess the only camping equipment we haven't used are a conversion van, 5'er, cabin cruiser, horse trailer. Yes, we have seen people staying in their cabin cruiser and in a horse trailer <I don't even want to think about that one!>

I chose tent.

I've never camped in anything other than a tent but I expect that to change after I retire. :thumbsup2

I voted 5er. We started going to the fort in a truck camper. DH, me, 3 sons and 1 very large doberman--packed in like sardines--but, hey, we were at the fort! Then we upgraded to a MH. Not only did the RV increase in size---but our group increased by 3 (2 girlfriends of the boys and another doberman) Today its a 5er with just DH, me and our current 2 dogs, Beagle & Chocolate Lab.

What's wrong with a horse trailer? I've seen them and know people who haul there's to the fort. It's kind of like me having a toy hauler 5'er combo in my eyes. My aunt has an Exxis with living quarters, slide and all that she paid 56,000 for. Twice what I paid for my 5'er lol. The thing is really nice inside and out. I've heard of the boat people and I do have to agree that is a little different. Some horse trailers though are as nice if not nicer than an RV. When we were at the fort in April we saw a nice horse trailer in the 300 loop over by Bradisgoofy.

Well I answered TT since that's what we have and are planning to take. But ever since we decided to go to FW I've noticed my DH spends a LOT of time looking through Craigs List for a motor home. :confused3

My T@B is technically considered a Travel Trailer. (Don't feel bad, most of the RV parks don't even know what a T@B is :rotfl: )

We have a pop up though I keep on looking at this really nice four winds motorhome.

Tab, that is a key on the left side of the keyboard right? LOL

34' TT for us, we love it, hate the truck, and the price of diesel! We had a coachman pickup camper when I was a kid, I LOVED that thing, lots of great memories!
