How do you stand long-term planning w/driving yourself and others crazy??

This will be our 3rd trip in 3 years. None of our trips were planned any more than 2-3 months in advance. In the case of our trip tomorrow, we didn't start planning until mid-June!.

I've been nuts making our plans. I know that if we had been planning this longer, I'd be in the funny farm by now. I'm on these boards as often as possible reading, asking questions, trying to figure out what I've forgotten to do.

Our girls, 9 & 11, still don't know we're going. "Donald" is going to call tonight and tell them, then the trip will finally feel real. It's be SO hard keeping the secret, but I know it will be worth it to see their reactions when they find out. The worst has been trying to make all these plans when they're either in bed or not home.

So here's to those of you who do long-term planning. You had my admiration!

I am a long term planner. We go every four years and yes I drive myself, my husband and anyone else who will listen crazy. All I can think about is Disney Disney Disney. I need help!
