I am curious to find out how you sport your LGMH when you visit Walt Disney World. I have a ton of them now, but I am unsure of what to do with them. I am only going for a 1 day trip October 28 but I still want to support the LGMH and maybe run into someone from the DIS. I was wondering on how I should sport them, if you know what I mean?

Thanks!

Hi - I'll be there on the 28th. It is our last full day of our vacation and we will be at MK during the day and have dinner ADR at Kona Cafe. I will have my LGMH on my "fanny pack" and on my DD stroller. I also usually tape one up on the door of my room. Just a few days left!! :thumbsup2

I will be at the Magic Kingdom all day on the 28th! Maybe we will run into each other. I am still undersure of how I am going to wear it, etc.. So that is why I created this thread. I basically need ideas :)

I will be with a group of friends (10 people total: 5 adults/5 kids), so just look for our "one on one" defense. Zone doesn't work in a public setting.

Hope to see you and your LGMH in a few weeks!

I try to make sure I have one on the front and on the back, so you get to see it "coming or going". I keep one on my fanny pack. However, if I'm not planning to wear my fanny pack, I loop one around a button on my shirt, or if I'm going to wear a lanyard, then it hangs from my lanyard. I also have one for my backpack. This last trip I found the best thing to do was to bring a bunch of laminated LMMHs and a small spool of ribbon. Then I made sure I had one or two every day.

Thanks for the ideas. Did you get recognized? :confused3
No, I never saw one other LGMH. And only 1 other person approached me, a man who wasn't wearing the LGMH, but he said his wife reads the boards. I was so disappointed that although I was there for a week, and many other people had said on these boards that they'd be there the same week as me, even a couple at the same resort, I never saw or was seen by (that I know of) anyone.

How do you hook it to your lanyard? That is what I am planning on doing as well. I think I am going to laminate one and maybe hook it on a pin lanyard with a keychain loop or something.

:) What does LGMH stand for?? novice here... :)

It's not only the novices that have an issue with this one!!! I've been around a looong time and I still have to stop and think about LGMH's, every time I see it. Stands for 'lime green mickey heads'. They are actually paint chips, you get from Home Depot, that are in the shape of Mickey's head!!! Most use the sonic green ones.
I have them laminated, then I thread a lime green ribbon through a hole in the top, and hang it on my bag. I have met other DISers in the past!! So, keep wearing them, sooner or later you will run into others of our 'ilk'!!!!! :bounce:

I have 4 so far that i have CAREFULLY peeled from the homedepot paper, , i am planning to bring them to staples , have them laminated and hot glue pins to the backs to attach them to my messenger bag.....

I am also going to tape a few in my Hotel window.....NOt overload, but a few here and there....
:thumbsup2

I've been watching this thread all day, trying to figure out what LGMH's were because I was too embarrassed to ask!

I think I could have guessed for another year and still not figured it out.

Wow! I'm so impressed with all the work some DISers go thru to make their LGMH look nice. I just took a bunch of LGMHs that I "aquired" from Home Depot, took 2 placed back to back not even removed from the backing. I took a black magic marker and wrote "DIS" on each one. Then I used wide clear packing tape to sort of laminate the 2 of them together to look like one big tag. Finally, I punched a hole in the top for hanging. I repeated this a few times ("aquired" 10 LGMHs, so I could make 5 tags). I also had about 6 pieces of ribbon (each piece was about 6 inches long-1 estra piece in case I screwed up one time) that I threaded thru the holes to hang on things-my shirt, fanny pack, backpack, lanyard, etc. A couple tags and pieces of ribbon were extra-for example, one night I was going out carrying nothing, so I just took a tag and ribbon and tied it to a belt loop on my jeans. Kind of a cheap, homemade job.

I have mine laminated and added a larger eyelet that I can put a chain through. Then I will attach to my backpack or fannypack depending on which one I'm using that day.

This will be my first trip with my LGMH's, so hopefully I'll see a few others.

My husband doesnt get it...BUT I *DO* hope with ALL THE talk of these, that I actaully DO see other DISRS while there!@

Lucky you! I tried to peel mine off but it didn't work well - didn't work well at all! :guilty:

I am not really the one to walk up to someone I dont know and just introduce myself, so by wearing this I am putting myself out there. :confused3 But, I am going to do it!

What park are you going to on Oct 28? I will be at Magic Kingdom all day that day - maybe we will run into each other.
