How do you spend your first two days?

the plane lands and .... Im giddy as a kid, love just being in the airport, hearing the american accent again, (im excited now) panick at customs as to if I have filled the forms in right. get cases and then step out into florida woohoo. get to the hotel and tell dbf "see we are back" and he says the flight kinda gave that away (every year without fail lol). we dump the cases un opened and go off to explore the hotel and eat at dtd.

at 5am I am wide awake and have been for an hour, Chris is dead to the world the guy can sleep on a knife edge. I start to unpack both cases sorting and getting more excited. then onto the day bag, camera etc in. by this time its about half seven and its time to try wake chris for a shower. both have shower and its off to the world,

well writing that has cheered me up for my morning at work and has reinforced that all the overtime at work will pay off when I am spending it in florida!!

thanx for starting this thread it great :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

The day we arrive we unpack and then go for a walk around the Boardwalk (as stay at the BCV). Then get room service for dinner if we are hungry. If we are tired we will then go to bed, if not pop over to Epcot and watch Illumnations.
The second day we get up, get our refillable mugs and stock up on basic breakfast items at the store in the BC. Then we have a relaxing day touring the resorts (I am looking forward to that this time as we will be there at Christmas.) In the afternoon we will come back and get something to eat from Beachs and Cream and then this year we plan to go over to MGM to see the Osbourne lights.

Arrived in Sanford about 12.35 pm, at hotel on IDrive by 3 ish, dumped luggage and straight out to Seaworld till 9 pm, bed at 10 pm (we had been up for a full 24 hours).

Day One, up at 6 am when the alarm went off, out at 7 am to Ponderosa for breakfast then at Animal Kingdom 1/2 hour before opening, spent most of the day there, then hopped to Epcot, did a few rides, then had a round of mini golf, dinner at 10.30 pm (bad service at Dennys), bed at 11 pm.

We just loaf about on the first day, sort out the hotel and we intend to head to Wild Jack's for our first Florida meal out of the holiday. For the second day we're going to head for the Magic Kindgom as we're intending to do the Disney Parks in our first week leaving two weeks for Universal, Busch and shopping!

Normally we get to the hotel and then go for something to eat, (trying not to fall asleep in our dinner.)

First day I'm always awake really early so I normally watch some TV then get breakfast and head over to Seaworld as it's a nice easy park for the first day. Normally head out of the park in the early afternoon and then go back to the hotel for a swim.

Next year we're going to Sarasota for the first part of our trip but are staying at an Orlando airport hotel the first night before driving down the next morning and hitting the beach. We should be nice and refreshed by the time we get back up to Orlando :earsboy:

Last time we went to our room first, luggage was dropped off 5 minutes later by Bell hop. We laid on the bed for 1/2 hour, then it was down to the hotel restuarant for a meal. Brought milk & water from the cafe at the hotel, phoned the family back in the u.k, and then it was back to the room for a wash and then into bed.
But as usual we were up at 1.30am ready to get going. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

This time I'm travelling with my 12 yr old niece so I will play everything by ear. As I know she will be completely knackered by the time we get to our hotel.

I'm hoping everything is quite straight forward at the airport this time, they mess up my transfers the last time and would'nt let us get on to the mini bus, so we had to go by taxi to the hotel on international drive. The taxi could only be described as a four wheel version of the trotters independent van with delboy to match. And this was a taxi that a Thomas Cook rep got for us.

So this time I've got a back-up plan, I've included the transfers with my holiday package. But i have also arranged for quicksliver to collect us at the airport. I will be collecting my travel details from the rep at sanford airport, but we will going to the hotel with quicksilver. On my return trip home I will use the transfers.

Thanks for all that. Plenty of ideas for me to steal.

I am guessing we will be checked in, unpacked, washed and out by 7pm if there are no delays! Then off to Universal Walk for a taste of whats to come and a bite to eat and to spend a few bucks in the gift shops!

Then hit (the dull in parts) Animal Kingdom on day 1 proper. Should have everything done by the time jet-lag hits us!
