Anyone know how you book what rotation you want? i have reas but don't see that feature on the website.

There is no way to guarantee any rotation unless in a cat 3 or higher. Anything else is just a request and not guaranteed. I booked REAS and didn't receive my rotation request.

Request your rotation through your TA or DCL if you booked directly.....In our experience, DCL makes every attempt to accommodate you......If you are traveling with at least 1 small child, historically the odds are that you will have the APLAPLA rotation (7-day)........

We have had our rotation changed once we boarded on a 7 day. Is there a preferred rotation on the 4 day cruises?

I havent taken a 4-day cruise recently, but I've read here that they changed the rotations so that the last 2 nights of the cruise you are in the same restaurant....The restaurants are all a personal preference, so rotation-wise, you'll have to figure it out....one rotation is not considered better than the other...anyway......Since they changed the menus (way way better than before), I like the rotation restaurant food nearly as much as Palo.....

I would recommend that you experience Palo on one of the nights, preferably in place of the rotation restaurant you are assigned to twice....However, make sure you do not miss the Animators Palate show, which, if you are assigned that restaurant twice, will be on the 1st night ....

Even if you are in a Cat. 1, 2 or 3 it's still just a request and not guaranteed. We were in a Cat. 2 on both cruises and did not get the requested rotation on our 2nd Disney cruise but did get it on our 3rd. HTH

A request is just that--a request. If you get what you want, great. If not, you can go to "dining changes" after you board and ask to be changed. Again, they will try but there is no promise. Sometimes they can do it as you stand in line. Sometimes, they will place you on a waiting list and call you if it is available before the dinner seating.

Personally, I think people make too big a deal over which rotation they have. On the 7 day, it is nice to be in Lumiere's on formal or semi-formal night. SInce Pirate night has replaced tropicali and mexicali, PC is less of a deal...still the most "pirate like' of the restaurants. But, in reality, it doesn't make much difference where you are on which night. I'd rather request my favorite server, regardless of which rotation he is on.
