How do you rate Jiko?!!

We have only eaten there once, but it is on my favorite list already.
Our experience there with food and service was fantastic, and I'm looking forward to the filet I am going to have there next week... YUM!

My husband loved his steak, and the chicken flatbread appitizer was fantastic. He'll be back, it was his favorite meal. I was less impressed with my meal (the ribs) and the kids meals. The waiter wasn't good - he seemed completely thrown by the fact we had kids (ours are six and seven - old enough to sit quietly through a meal if we do it early), brought the wrong food out, was slow, didn't bother to come around and ask if we'd like a second drink.

We had a fair experience at Jiko, food was good service was a bit slow but not bad particularly if you like lots of time to enjoy the experience. after leaving we decided that we would probably not go back regularly but will definetly go from time to time. There were lots of tables with kids (ours as well) but overall I think its atmoshere and serving time is better suited for adults. The main reason we chose Jiko over Boma was that we wanted a ts meal not a buffet. We went to Boma a few days later and really loved as did our kids we have since eaten there again and had another great experience. If I had to chose one or the other I would definitly choose Boma, the food is fabulous.

Loved it as did my 16 year old daughter. Was one of our favorites on our trip this past June.
