Someone I know has given birth and named her baby, Nevaeh Yvonne. I've never heard of the name Neveah before.

Is it Nev-e-ah? or Neve-ah? or some other way?

Just realised it's Heaven spelt backwards.

Phonetically: NAH VAY AH

I worked in a pediatrics office... we saw lots of them.

There's a little girl at my daughter's dancing school with this name. They pronounce it....Ne-VAY-uh.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to name their child this. Heaven BACKWARDS? As my sister said, isn't that Hell? :rotfl2:

I believe it is Nuh-vay-uh as well.

I don't personally care for the name just because it's so trendy at the moment. I feel like everywhere I turn, there is another baby girl being born and named Nevaeh. I am assuming mothers are choosing the name because of the "Heaven backwards" thing but then why has nobody just named their child plain old Heaven?

Oh well, it doesn't matter to me whatever anyone wants to name their baby. :)

A colleague just named her daughter this. When my DD asked what the name was, I said, "It's Heaven backwards." DD replied, "Hell?" :lmao:

Heavan is 2 syllables
I know a Naveah and they pronouce it Nee-va

One of the Teen Moms name her baby this & on the show they pronounce it
Nah-VAY-ah (or I guess Ne-VAY-eh depending on what part of the country you're from)

Wow, I've never heard the name. I guess it's the new popular name. It sounds like some names the creative African-Americans in my neighborhood give their children, It sounds Egyptianish, pretty.

I've seen several little girls with the name "Heaven".

The sister of one of my students a few years ago was named Heaven.

I think it sounds very pretty, and much better than Heaven, which to me sounds like a porn star or stripper name

I'm not a fan. "Nevaeh" looks like it should be pronounced Na-VAY. Where the heck does the "A" sound at the end come from? THAT would be "Nevaeha", IMO.

Guess their parents are hedging their bets for the 21st.

Im sorry but I can't stand that name. For some reason it rubs me the wrong way. I know I will get flamed for saying this but everytime I see that name all I can think of is some teenager giving this name to her baby. Ive been in a NICU before visiting and there were a few named this and yes they were teen parents.
