How do you pronounce 'For'

I really hate my self for it but I find myself saying fer a lot of the time. I don't even realize it. But I assume it is a by product of living in Texas pretty much my entire life :)

On it's own, I would definitely pronounce it just like four/fore. I would say "I need these for class tomorrow." or "These are for your sister."

However, I do tend to slur it to "fer" in certain situations like "These are two fer a dollar."

I agree. It kind of depends on the use. Standalone it's always "for" through. But yeah, if you might describe something as a "Twofer" then it's "fer" but this is knowingly mispronounced slang.

I don’t know. My family has been in Texas for generations and it’s fore/four for us.

"For," after a lot of effort. It was pronounced "fur" in western PA where I grew up.

No Go for pizza.
