How do you pronounce "coupon"?

I say coo-pon but I'm in the minority where I live. Most of the people I know in my area (Buffalo, NY) say Q-pon. Maybe it's a regional thing, like pop vs soda.

Where I live it seems like the younger generation like myself says coo-pon and then the older generations like my senior parents say Q-pon.

coo as in a a baby's coo. and pun instead of pon. With all emphasis on the first syllable.

Yes!! This is me exactly. I try to pronounce everything correctly, even if that means changing how I was taught. Sometimes I might say Q-Pon though. Old habits die hard.
