How do you pronounce “Milk?”

The “crayon” thread got me thinking about another word that is pronounced differently in my family. Younger DD pronounces “milk” as “MELK.” No one else does this. Not sure where it comes from but we were just having this conversation last week and just yesterday heard a newscaster say the word, “melk.” So, I was just curious…how do YOU pronounce cow juice?

I refuse to answer the poll on the grounds that I get really annoyed by nitpicking pronunciations. I think I say "milk" but others might hear it as "melk" on occasion I'd guess. I had a roommate whose boyfriend was named Ken. She used to correct me constantly because apparently I often said something close to "Kin" instead of "Ken."
