Do you like them all in one thread from the poster or do you want one restaruant per thread so you can go to only the ones you want to hear about?

One restaurant per thread--makes it a lot easier to read, and to comment.

I like one thread from each poster. For one, I think it makes the board less "cluttered," and second, there are some reviewers I like better then others, and I'll tend to read all of their reviews, even if I don't really need to read a review for that particular meal. Like Crystal Palace's breakfast, I've been there four times myself, but if the writer is entertaining, I read it anyway.

I also like it when the thread is pages long that the first post has a table of contents, so that the reviews I still need to read I can find easily.

I prefer one thread per reviewer.

Frankly, a lot of the reviewers are far pickier/fussier than anyone in my family (not a complaint, just an observation). By reading their entire set of reviews, I can "read between the lines" and decide if I consider their opinions applicable to our tastes.

Regardless, I do enjoy reading a well written review with photos and appreciate the efforts of the poster.

I agree, if everyone did one restaurant per thread the board would be too bogged down. It's a heck of a lot easier to read one thread from a poster then 12.

I vote "other". I prefer multiple reviews in one thread; however, only as many restaurants as you can fit in the title. ;) That way I can see whether I want to open the thread. A couple of other things I really appreciate:
-having a main thread and each restaurant a different post in that thread. Then in the main thread, link to each post by restaurant name.
-having EVERYTHING written before posting. It drives me crazy having to scroll though everyone's comment to find the next "installment" of the op's reviews.

I'd prefer one thread per restaurant.

I find that I don't even really go to the restaurant review area for a couple of reasons:
*Too many restaurants in one thread. I may be going to one place that I am interested in the review. I read through all of the posts to find that my restaurant is still not up. Wasted time on my part. I have to subscribe and keep checking back, which brings me to my second reason.
*All of the Subbing posts! To subscribe just click on thread tools and subscribe to the thread, no need to post subbing and send an email to my inbox that there are updates.
*Scrolling through comments for the next update, which may or may not be there.

I find my best information here in this forum regarding restaurants. Though I'd really like to read the reviews - I just don't feel inspired to sort through the rest of the clutter to get to what I want to read.

I prefer all reviews in one threads. I don't particularly read them for individual reviews, but they're entertaining to me. I've read so many reviews, I don't NEED to read more, but I enjoy doing it.

Also, if the reviewer knows there's going to be lot of chitchat (aka they're popular) then I appreciate links to the reviews in the first post.

I also like pictures in the reviews, although I will read reports that have no pictures.

If I want a review of a particular restaurant, I'll post a question about it on this forum, and hopefully they'll link me to a review about it. :)

I like one restaurant per thread, even though my dining reviews I did the other way. I like it better with one restaurant per thread because then you can find the specific restaurants you are looking for without having to search through each and every review that comes along.

I agree. And it really helps if the person puts the name of the restaurant in the thread title - that way I don't have to open it just to find out where it is they ate.

I agree that I can read the full observation and see if the writer's food ideas are like our family's.

When I see then separate I can hone in on the places I have not been too recently and make decisions to return, or not.

I'm the same way. For some reason I still ask for advice though every time I have to choose between restaurants though, LOL.

One thread per restaurant... I would only read reviews on those restaurants I'm most interested in visiting... :earsgirl:

I'm surprised that it's almost 50/50! Since it's pretty much the other way (one thread per reviewer) I assumed that I was the only one who didn't like it that way.

As it is, about half of us like it the way it is and find it useful, the other half don't like it and dont' find it useful. I doubt that we'll ever find a way that makes everyone happy, so it'll just remain a board that I don't find useful or visit. No biggie. :goodvibes

I voted for one restaurant per thread. I think it would make the dining reviews forum much more organized. When I'm looking for reviews for a particular restaurant, it's just easier to find reviews in topics that have the restaurant name in the title. I personally would love to see restaurant topics similar to the different resort FAQs on the resort board. That way, if I wanted to get info on (say) Tokyo Dining, I'd know exactly where to go. And I think that'd actually make the reviews forum less cluttered rather than more.

I like one thread from each reviewer. It's more fun to read about a whole trips worth of meals, than just one place at a time.

I can certainly see the merits of both points of view, but as someone who likes to eat, post reviews, and rarely takes a WDW trip for a duration of less than seven days I think one thread that includes everything is the better way to go.

It would really clutter up the review boards if I opened a new thread for every establishment that my hubby and I ate it. And it would make it very difficult for me to go back and respond to any questions a reader posted because then I'd have to subscribe to a myriad of threads rather than just one.

I know that my threads get very long, and I do everything I can to make them as reader-friendly as possible. Each update is specifically listed in the thread title along with the post number. The first post of the thread includes a table of contents with a direct link to each review. Quite frankly I don't know how to make it any easier for both readers and me.

Is it really that difficult to click on one post to see if the entire thread does or doesn't have a review that you're interested in?

I've found many an entertaining and informative group of reviews just by clicking on a thread. :thumbsup2

I must agree with one thread from each reviewer. You would be surprised at how many people have tried a new restaurant based on anothers review and have found a new favorite. If you are looking for a specific place then use the search option. It works for me every time.
