How do you personalize your stroller?

I've been eagerly reading these boards in preparation for our first WDW trip--thanks for all the great tips!
I love the idea of personlizing our stroller somehow so that it'll be easier to find in the mass of strollers outside rides, but I'm not sure what to do--do I need to use something with some height to it (like a balloon, which might drive DH nuts as he pushes the stroller), or would it be just as good to tie something around the handle (maybe a scarf). Should I actually sew something like a scarf onto it, to discourage theft?

Any ideas would be much appreciated. I'm not very creative :-)

Thanks!

I read on the boards once where a dad took a diaper, poured a little coke on it for effect and put it in a clear plastic bag and tied it onto the handle of the stroller. NO ONE bothered it.

I think a brightly coloured scarf tied to the handle should do the trick.

I've heard of tying a balloon to one as well.

I would also put a hanging luggage tag with your name and the resort that you are staying in on it as well. I would get a bright neon colored ribbon or something to wrap around the side bar.

I never understood how this was supposed to keep anyone from taking a stroller. throw the bag in the garbage.

I would hope no one would want to get even close enough to a poopy bag to even throw it away!

You could get one of those bicycle flags.......hopefully a lime green one!! Those stand up.

We are going to put a brightly colored bicycle chain on ours and chain them to each other when we are on rides. I hope it works!

We were surprised (but I guess shouldn't have been!) to see so many strollers exactly like ours at Disney! What made ours easy to spot, and helped with toting all the stuff we had around, was to buy a little mesh stoller bag (about $5 at Toys R Us) that snapped onto the handles. Even though the stroller had a big basket, we still liked having somewhere to put smaller stuff that needed easy access. No one else who had our stroller had one of these bags, and we put stuff like our rain ponchos (bright yellow, couldn't miss 'em), water bottles, extra hats -- any little thing we didn't want to put in the basket or didn't have room for in the diaper backpack. Worked for us!

Trip #1 December 2002: Bubblegum pink shawl. One advantage to this was that I was able to tie up two strollers together. It doubled as a blanket for the kiddies when we watched the parade at MVMCP.

Trip #2 May 2003: Leis(sp?) from Poly. We had about two dozens--the concierge used them to decorate some things we'd ordered--so it was easy to spot.

Trip #3 December 2003--we hope. Thinking about renting strollers. I have heard about people taking name tag off other people's strollers, so am thinking about somethings that would be hard to take off as well as easy to spot. Hmm. Handcuff a dummy? Put one of those horrible neon stickers the police plaster on the illegally parked cars?:p

hi

i printed some pics of my son from our jan 2003 WDW trip and pasted them on to a paper with some disney stickers- then i laminated the whole thing and attached to the stroller handlebars- i also wrote- Ray Family Vacation- If found please return to POR-thanks

i had a bright red disney flag with mickey, goofy and donald on it that i sewed into the seat and applied various disney stickers to the stroller

i was worried about someone stealing the stroller- not because it was super expensive but because of the aggravation of not having my own stroller- plus it will be real easy to spot now!!

I usually go to the craft store and buy a couple of the brightest bandanas I can find. We just wrap them around the handle bars! No one has ever bothered our strollers!
