How do YOU pay for your Disney trip?

I currently have the Pop Century and and Yacht Club on hold for our planned 2010 stay. A deposit is due this coming Friday but if I try to apply payment online, it only allows credit card, gift card, etc. Is it possible to use two credit cards for the deposit? i.e. Split the deposit 50/50 between the two cards. What other forms of payment does Disney accept? Not sure if paying with a check would be reasonable as I might get hit with a charge due to currency exchange (Canadian to U.S. dollar)

How do you pay for your trip?

Why do you want to split it between 2 cards?

We do have cash in the bank to pay before we go, but it is far more convenient to pay with CC and then pay it off at the end of the month.

I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem to split the deposit 50/50 using 2 different cards, but you would probably have to do it over the phone.:)

Yea you can split between 2 cards if you want to. You can also pay with Disney gift cards.

I give my husband the bill! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:lmao: LOVE IT! You know I never even thought of that!

DUH! Disney Gift cards! Why didn't I think of that? Use cash to buy the gift card and use it towards the booking! My only concern is.... are the gift cards the same in Canada? Can I buy a gift card from the Disney store or does it have to be from Disney directly? Perhaps this is a question for the Canadians board...

We pay cash for our trips. We don't go unless we have the money for them. We use the debit card to pay them off when we book.

since i don't have a wife to give the bill to, i stash money away every month so i can pay cash, via cc online

I always use credit cards. If there is a problem with my trip I can dispute the charge. I have had to this with airlines before and got the entire amount of the ticket back.

We all know how much of a pain certain airlines can be if there is a problem and when I don't feel it has been handeled properly by the company, I know my CC company will handle it. They will do the investigating and they even try to mediate and get the problem resolved with out with holding payment.

I sent in the policy for the airline that I got off their website and showed how they ignored their own procedure resulting in a bad experience and got all of the money back for the entire round trip ticket. They do investigate the issue so you can't just go around denying payment with no cause but I feel more protected having it as a back up if needed.

1st I save for it when I have all of it saved, I book it, apply it to my disney cc (to get the points) then pay if off as soon as I get the bill.

We don't plan for a trip unless we have the money already, or know it's coming. My stipend for running the drama club pays for our vacations, so while we might make some reservations prior to the paycheck arriving, we don't charge anything to pay off later. May I ask why you would want to split the deposit between 2 credit cards? I'm just curious.

My mom and I are splitting the total cost for the trip. We both want to contribute equally to the trip so neither of us are hit with more interest on our credit cards.

We used our debit card as soon as we had the money in the bank. The only reason we can go is that we are using money that my Dad left to me in his Employee Savings plan through his old job.

Do you have a disney visa? We applied for them (my mom and myself) when we decided we were going to disney. This way, I put $100 on her card and got $40 off and then put it on my card and got $40 off. So this saved us an additional $80 off the trip!
