How do you pay for food/snacks etc in the parks?

I am so used to the Disney dining plan and magic bands that I kind of forget how to handle paying for things in the park! Do all places take a credit card or do I really need to carry cash? Thanks for your help.

We are old fashioned folks and bring cash but we also have used our cards a lot in the parks.
One of the experts can correct me but I'm pretty sure you can use cards everywhere...?

Cash, debit or credit cards, or even Universal gift cards.

I used two $50 GCs exclusively to buy souvenirs earlier this week, so I wouldn't spend that much cash out of pocket.

credit card or room key - and bring your AAA card - I think there are discounts with that

I swear we might have needed cash at one ice cream cart in IOA. Otherwise, I charged back to my room with my key. Brought my card and ID though, just in case.
