So excited...we got a Pirate Room/water view for EASTER 09.
I was afraid to book for Xmas, for weather...last trip at Xmas, it rained, it was cold and 65 degrees. =)

Now that the trip is set, how do I make the time fly? Any tips?

not sure LOL

we are going in Feb, and it seems like a lifetime away.
I look at it this way.........
in about 3 weeks when school starts, time will start flying, between work, school stuff and sports it will be holiday time in no time :)
then we can panic about spending $$ for chirstmas LOL J/K and by the time thats over, it will almost be time to go to WDW.
i have a warpped sence of time don't i? :goodvibes

Yeah, be stupid like I was and plan a HUGE party at your house that you have to prepare for the DAY before you leave for your trip..coupled with getting three kids ready for back to school. LOL

Seriously, I booked my trip to leave the day after I am having 70 people here for a surprise party for my dad and one week before school starts, and while dd is finishing up drivers ed. So I have 12 more days to get ready for the party, get everyones back to school clothes, take dd to get her license and pack for our trip! LOL

I would say schedule some "projects" for yourself to complete before your trip. Are you a calendar type of person? If so, divide up the time left before your trip and try to fill it in with other things that need to be "accomplished" before you go. Also, check in on the boards daily or a few times a week. There is soooo much I have learned about! I also joined TGM and TP and have founds great stuff there too!

You also have the upcoming holidays to keep you busy too before your easter trip.

What is TGM?

Well, school does start soon, then the dance classes. LOL.
Oh yeah, I am updating my house and painting to get it ready to sell.

I just hope the time flies BY.....

You are definately going to earn yuor vacation! :headache:
hope everything goes well for you!~ time has that nasty problem of slipping past us during the school year!
have a great trip and Hug stich for me if you see him!

OP, Julie has some great ideas, - something to fill your time or take your mind off of the countdown.
even a little PT job could do wonders besides giving you a little more $$ for your trip :)

I am a ridiculous planner. When I'm bored in work (like now) I hang out on the DIS and plan my trip. As a college student that works when not in class, my days tend to fly during the semester. I figure, the semester is 16 weeks, and by then, we'll be less than a month away from going! Also, the MLB postseason takes over my life for an entire month.

I try to keep active in planning by shopping constantly over the weeks/months for my trip. For instance, this weekend I'll go pick up some travel bottles, Ziploc bags, etc. I'm also the sole trip planner, so I have monthly deadlines for things for the rest of my Grand Gathering which keep me occupied. By the time I meet those deadlines, I'm shocked that another month has gone by!

I also try not to count each and every day, that way when I forget and recount, I'm at least a week closer.
