I want to make reservations for my 17 month DS for our 4 day Wonder cruise.

I was hoping to get 3 of the 4 nights from 6:00-10:00 pm as I don't think he will cooperate during supper and a few hours for the day at sea so I can take my 4 year to the Mickey pool with out the baby flipping out because he can't go :(.

Where do I go to make the reseravtions and what time do I need to get there or do they open?

Are shot records required?

As soon as you get on the ship, head for flounders reef. They will give you a form to fill out requesting ALL the times you are interested in. Then you put an asterisk beside the three most imporant ones and they "will do their best to accomodate you". I signed my ds up each evening after dinner for a couple hours and got all my requests. They call you each day to let you know if your request is okayed. We ended up cancelling some of the evenings.....they need 4 hours notice for cancellations.

Proof of shots is not necessary. Make sure you feed your child before putting them in there as they only serve crackers and water. Or you can send baby food in jars as they will feed them your food.

I am not sure if I want to put my 17 month DS in the nursery for dinners. He is fine when we go out to eat but I am not sure how he would be through a long meal???

Does anyone have any advice?

What I plan on doing during our cruise is signing up my 18 month old for 6:30 - 9:00 each evening. I'll get to the dining room at exactly 6:00 and order his and DD's food first. Get them fed quickly and run them to the club and Founders. Dh and I will be able to enjoy dinner alone that way, but DD and Ds will both be fed and happy!!!

Levi was 2 1/2 when we went. Our FN ressies for him were at 7:30-9:30. That was just about time they would bring coffee and dessert to our table. He was usually fine for an hour or so in the dining room. Our server quickly learned that a big bowl of fresh fruit made him happiest, and it showed up w/in minutes of sitting down most nights.

Did picking him up at 9:30 pm give you time to catcht he shows? I can not decide if I should try ressies from say 6:30-9:30 pm or from 6:00 -9:30 pm. I am not sure if he would get more upset leaving atable of family mid way through dinner?

How does one pay? It is charged to your account?

Yes, it gave us plenty of time to see the shows. FYI, if the child is old enough (enough to enjoy tv show or short movie), they will likely enjoy Disney Dreams. Get there as early as possible after dinner to get a good seat. Don't know if they'll sit that long...try going to Island Magic Show on Monday in the Buena Vista Theater. It's a smaller theater that is filled w/kids and parents, so you will likely find more "understanding" parents for distractions!

$6/hour w/2 hour minimum is charged to your stateroom account.

Hi!

When we were on the 10/6 Wonder (jst under a week ago... sigh), we were only allowed to sign up for three spots when we arrived. They do this because they only have room for 20 babies/toddlers and they want to give anyone a chance. Evenings go most quickly. So, we signed up for one evening and two days. Then, the next day, after everyone had "had a chance," we were able to register our DS for the afternoon of the castaway Cay day.

My son, who is used to being around other children, was fine. He LOVED Flounders. I even took videotape and pictures of him there, because he enjoyed it so much. But I saw many children who cried and cried. For anyone planning on using Flounders whose children are rarely (if ever) without Mommy and Daddy, I strongly recommmend hiring some babysitters before then. Try to help your children feel safe when you give them into the arms of another care provider. Otherwise, Flounders won't work for your kids and you will get paged relatively quickly.

I have nothing but the highest praise for the women who ran Flounders and the additional CMs who served as babysitters. They were certainly a highlight of our trip! I would be happy to answer any additional questions, if I can.
