How do you ladies carry your smartphones in the parks?

I used to use a Vera Bradley mini hipster/little hipster, but I bought an all-in-one crossbody at the VVB store in DS, and I think it's my new favorite. It has both a wrist strap and a crossbody strap, with an outside flap pocket for a phone (I have an iPhone 6), and two zippered sections - one with card/ID slots and one with a zippered coin section and two other sections. I only wish it came in one of the Disney prints!

I like Vera Bradley products - but what do you do when it rains? Those bags are not waterproof, in fact they seem quite the opposite to me. They get damp and stay damp very easily. And they get lumpy if you try to clean them.

I always have a backpack, and carry it in my front pocket. I'm ditching the backpack this trip for a small-ish cross body with lot's of pockets so I'll probably use that instead.

:rotfl2: I do the same !!! usually I wear sport bras for the park, they are great for long days, I just stick it in the middle, is safe during the rides and easy access, I used to have a Blackberry pearl and it took me years to finally upgrade to a iPhone just for the size I was reluctant to get a phone who wouldn't fit in the bra :rotfl:but it does fit!

Front pocket of my sling bag. When I need it I just slide the sling around, grab my phone and slide the bag back.

I'm way too terrified of forgetting it's in my back pocket when in the washroom and having it end up in the toilet.

Backpocket if im going to be using it often/soon. Otherwise my DH holds it in his pocket or we put it in our camera bag, since we never leave that behind in a stroller etc because of the camera.

Zippered back pocket of my LL Bean "Comfort Trail Shorts." My cell fits in a back pocket (turn it sideways/horizontal when sitting on rides). I highly recommend these shorts for bagless park people b/c they have 3 zippered pockets and 2 regular pockets. (My zippered pockets hold: AP/ccard/little cash/ID in a front lower zippered pocket; paper schedule on index card in regular pocket; cell phone in a back zipper pocket; advil in ziploc and/or tiny folded disposable rain poncho in other back pocket.) They also make Comfort Trail long pants.

Second vote for these pants. I just bought 2 pairs and wear them all the time. I wore them to a hockey game a few weeks ago and didn't take my purse. It was great. I'm not convinced I could do that in a Disney park all day though. I have two kids, and had them in Disney in diapers. I didn't take my normal diaper bag to Disney. I used a backpack with a side pocket for my phone. I wouldn't want to have my phone in my back pocket on rides, I would feel like I would damage it. At the hockey game, my phone went in the side pocket of the pants. I would feel comfortable with it there on a ride.

ETA: I just noticed that Amanda said shorts, not pants. One, I'm going to get a pair of the shorts. And two, the pants are so lightweight that I think you could wear them in hot weather. You can roll them up a bit to make them Capri length. Also, they dry really fast if they get wet.

The pocket of the shorts built in to my skirt (sparkle skirt girl here)
I tried cross body cell phone holders and a lanyard that holds a phone and hate things hanging on me, cross body or around my neck. They were fine for a short while but got annoying real fast.

In my Vera Bradley cross-body mini-hipster. Even big enough to plug the phone into my Anker portable charger which fits in the bag too.

My front pocket, though I just ordered an iPhone 7plus, so I'm waiting for it to be delivered, and I don't know how well it will fit in my pockets this time around. Lol. It is water resistant though, and I will still have ziplock bags for stuff in our park bag, which is a very small sling pack that DF has said he's happy to wear.

We don't have children so I don't need a big bag. I get a Bagallini for trips where I'll be doing stuff where I need a waterproof purse. I bought this one for this trip - fits my phone, thin wallet, small mirror, small sunscreen for face, kleenex, keys and lip gloss! (and gum)

That purse is so flippin' cute! I think I'm going to have to invest in one now for my upcoming trip.

A backpack or crossbody bag is sufficient. It may be more than I need at times, but I will not carry a cellphone in my pocket due to increased cancer risk.
A small backpack is good though...it allows me to carry my phone, chapstick, small zippered wallet, MB if I do not want to carry it and few other small items with very little weight. :)

Do it! Those purses are so great for trips like this. Practical :crazy2:, but still cute! If you don't have to carry a lot, these are perfect.

I just have a canvas cross body bag with a water proof lining that has a spot for my phone. pretty easy for me to get to

I put it in the front pocket of my bag, where I can quickly get to it.

Honestly, I just carry mine in my bra. I leave it at the resort when I go to the water parks.

Another vote for carry in my bra.

But how do you get access to it - unbutton your blouse? Pull down the neck of your shirt? Have it all hanging out? Reaching into a bra to get anything is considered very tacky around here - I'd never even think of doing that all day long!

I use a Vera Bradley hipster and keep my phone in the outside back pocket (and keep that facing my body)
