Which airway provider do you guys use to get to orlando...Im in New England, and im just checking on any last minute possibilities before I finalize it.

I know jet blue used to do random cheap deals there but none from where Im at!!

which provider do you all fly with?!! :cloud9:

I have found Southwest and Air Tran (now the same airline anyway) had the best fares and got me to where I was going on time with a little issue as possible.

Delta sometimes has a low fair, but my experience with them says you'd be better off waiting to be abducted by a UFO and have the aliens drop you off at Disney and it would be quicker and less painful than flying with Delta.

The Transportation board here on the Dis has been very informative when I narrowed down our airline choice -

for awhile (not sure how it is now) it seemed Delta and AirTran were notorious for changing the flights on you -

I use kyak.com to look at prices - and have to go to southwests' website to check on theirs...

dh doesnt like southwest because of the airport here is hard to get to - but with all the extras, southwest is a bargain for us! Lately American has been reducing flights - they are in bankruptcy protection - and the very informative transportation board said not to worry about that... :wizard:

Always Southwest! We can get a direct(nonstop) flight from TF Greene to MCO for around 250 RT.

:lmao: I understand that nobody does the alien "probe" like the UFO guys

I concur with Southwest. It's about the best thing going for domestic air travel.:)

We can fly from Philly, Allentown and Newark (Allentown being 10 minutes from my house---PHL and EWR are about an hour, and an hour and a half respectively)

I choose whoever is cheapest, figuring parking into the equation too. Right now, nobody has good fares. :sad2:

We fly Air Tran, Allegiant, and Spirit from Michigan to Florida.

Last year we snagged $29 flights (one way) on Spirit so paid $190 for BOTH of us and that included baggage fees. This year we're paying about $480. :(

We always get non-stop flights. I hate layovers and changing planes.

I've never had good luck with other airlines like Delta, Southwest, etc. in getting really cheap flights.

We fly out of Maine always and Air Tran this year was the best deal for us...We also always look before we leap...I mean FLY...

Maine was cheaper when we figured out driving into Boston or Manchester NH and having to stay overnight or having to have our car stay there in parking...
So weigh all your options first..

We always fly JetBlue:thumbsup2
Being in NY we are lucky to have about 5 airports we could fly out of to get to Orlando. One is only 20 min from our house! But we find that for Aug Newark seems to have the best prices & times.

We fly direct with Air Tran. Their first direct flight of the day leaves at 7am. The last one comes in at 10 something.

We take the first direct flight out and the last direct flight home.

Another Mainer here. We've flown AirTran three times out of Portland, ME. They had the lowest fares, even when you figure checked baggage. We have a friend who lives within sight of the airport so we parked at his place for free. :) Allegiant out of Bangor has some good deals, but they fly into Orlando/Sanford airport so you'd have to rent a car or get a shuttle. AirTran has changed our flight times every time we've flown with them, and twice we've booked a direct flight that got canceled. That's so frustrating! But it was the cheapest option out of Portland by a long shot. Oh, and twice they've dropped their airfare after I've booked, so called, got a credit, and used the credit to pay for our baggage.

We fly either continental or jet blue out of EWR

We flew Southwest out of Philly once, never again

We are in Central Mass and have flown out of Hartfird, Boston, Providence, Manchester, White Plains and would even consider Stewart Airport in NewBurgh, NY or even Albany.

I just check all the options. For April break, we are actuallyusing Direct Air out of Worcester, MA because they were cheapest when we booked.

Just try to be real flexible and you can usually find a decent rate.

We have also flown in and out of different airports to save money. One year we took the Logan Express bus and flew out of Boston into West Palm Beach...visited the inlaws for a day and then drove to Disney. Flying home we flew from Orlando to Hartford and a friend picked us up. This was on Airtran.

We used to use Southwest pretty frequently to fly from Nashville to Orlando. In the last couple of years, however, the deals have dried up and the inconvenience factors have increased; plus we now have two toddlers.

It has actually become much simpler for us to drive to WDW. As far as time goes, the drive takes us about thirteen hours versus about 8 for a direct flight and ten for a connection. The cost to drive is much less than it would be to fly and rent a car in Orlando. The kids also tolerate the ride in their familiar carseats much better than they handle the drama of a air travel.

We actually fly privately, but I've read alot of people on these boards speak of AirTran and Southwest. Hopefully, they've got some great deals for you!
