How do you feel about Midwest selling out and becoming Frontier?

How do you feel about the buy out of Midwest?

  • I didnt trust Midwest and won't trust Frontier either.

  • I have had it with Midwest and will look for other airlines.

  • Will be a better for the consumer as Midwest was very unreliable.

  • Who cares I just look for the cheapest airline.

  • I was a devoted Midwest customer. I feel cheated.

  • Just the beginning of more things to come with other airlines.

What is the feeling of everyone here on this buy out?

We have flown midwest the last three times we went to Disney and a couple times to Texas...but the cost has gone up and the dates for the locations down...Not to mention the cost of checking a bag. It makes it easier for us to pick Airtran and Southwest out of Milwaukee....

The "buyout" happened last year when Republic bought Midwest. All that happened today was the announcement of branding, that Midwest will now be renamed to Frontier.

Midwest hasn't been the same airline for the last few years compared to what it once was. I no longer care about the Midwest name. Frontier is fine with me. I'll be sticking with Airtran.

I'm very glad to see them retain the Frontier name. I hope they continue to maintain Frontier's good reputation.

I'm appreciative that we have flown on Midwest for so many years. No more wide seats, foot rests, fine china and reliable schedules. We've never had a single problem flying on Midwest, but I'll have to adjust. :sad2:

Midwest has been almost my exclusive airline of choice for about 12 years now, and I live 10 minutes from O'Hare. With the turmoil within the airline the past year or so, my past four flights (2 round-trips) have been on Airtran, (with business class upgrade) and I have been very pleased with their service, comfort, etc. There is no way today that any airline could provide the level of service for the money that Midwest had provided in the past, that's a given; it's a different world out there today. Once the dust settles and Frontier is fully incorporated into the workings there in MKE, I will again give them a try, provided they have seating comparable to Airtran business or Midwest's Signature avaialble.

They don't. Frontier has no equivalent business class. Their first 4 rows are "stretch" so for $25 you can get extra inches of leg room. There is no additional width to the seats at all. I'd compare the stretch seats to most exit rows.

Being in the Milw we tried to be loyal to Midwest but this year cinched that we'd go with the best price. There is no longer anything special about them. In fact, we flew to TPA on a Frontier plane and our return was on a Midwest. Other than the cookies, nothing was different. So I'm hoping that they stay in MKE so we have more choices.
