I watch the DVD that Disney sent me and I do a search on the internet for Disney sites. My favoriates are the ones where regular folks put up their vacation pictures. Some are really good. One that comes to mind is a site called ***********.com. Don't know the guy, but he takes some really good photos. He has very interesting shots of all the Disney Suites. Quite Good.

I watch the DVD that Disney sent me, too! I also buy the latest editions of the Official Guide by Birnbaum and the Unofficial Guide and pretty much read them cover to cover. My husband thinks that I am crazy! I also watch a lot of Disney movies and go to the Disney Store a lot!

I read these boards, visit Disney's site, watch for specials on the Travel Channel (they have many!) and search, search, search. DH just couldn't care less. He doesn't want to hear any more about my plans and itineraries (but trust me, he appreciates it once we're there :rotfl: )I guess that's why we DIS'ers have each other :cheer2:

:wave2: Tell me about it! MY DH as well, wants nothing more than to hear me talk about anything BUT disney..just for a few hours!! LoL Thanks for all the thoughts, i tottally forgot about the DISNEY STORE!!!!!!! DUH! can't belive i haven't been in yet.

Thanks again.
Nicole

Get my fix on the DIS of course! Oh, and I check a few other sites for info and stories...travel channel if I think about it, read the guidebooks I buy cover to cover and go to B & N for a cup of coffee to read over the ones I didn't buy, convert all the nonbelievers by telling everyone that will listen about my trip...thank goodness for my Dsis, who is addicted, too. We have mini support sessions over the phone.

Okay, I know...I sound pathetic...well at least I'm not hooked on meth or crack.

Do you have your days all planned yet? Have you decided which restaurants you'll call for PS's? Checked out the menus on allearsnet. com? If you've reached your limit, just relax and forget about it for a little while. That's hard, I know...I have a much longer time to wait (over 190 days!) I periodically ban myself from all the sites and books and TV shows about Disney, won't even talk about it. Then, about 3 or 4 weeks later, I'm back online, checking out what I've been missing. Keeps it fresh.

Things I do to get my Disney fix: Come on the Dis Boards, watch the travel dvds that Disney sent, watch the specials on the Travel Network and food network, watch my favorite movies by Disney, and play "Disney SceneIt."

I have been collecting whatever Disney music I can find ... not the cheesy teeniebopper stuff, but the "official" park songs, etc. I listen to the Disneyland's 50 Anniv. 6-CD set thing, which I just bought. Or my Official WDW Resort Album which is some chinese edition bought on Amazon - the songs are the actual songs - whatever works, right? Sometimes it's just background and sometimes my co-workers have to tell me to sing less loudly (grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize.... :rolleyes1 ). I wonder if it's my voice or the subject matter :confused3

And no, it's not meth or crack - it's probably more expensive (like that 6CD set was about $125! - but WELL WORTH IT if you ask me).

I agree wtih all the posts so far. I surf the DIS and watch a lot of Disney videos/DVD's.

Have fun planning! :)

I went to the library and checked out every single Orlando/Disney World book. I was able to plan my itinerary, pull up menus (allearsnet.com), make priority seating arrangements, make a Disney countdown calendar (email me if you want some ideas...took several hours which I loved!!) and lots more. There were over 20 different books, and I read every one. Thank goodness there are more like me out there..happy waiting...
Anticipation is half the fun, the other half is planning...getting there is a bonus! :cheer2:

Are there no NFFC members here? I feed my addiction by attending meetings of our local NFFC chapter. We get together at members' homes, get to see each others' collections of Disney stuff, talk about our recent trips, look at photos, and plan our future trips.

For more info on the NFFC, go to nffc.org.
I'm in the Castlekeepers chapter which is based in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. Our chapter info is on the NFFC site in the section on local chapters.

I've been on allears.net, and it really does help. We printed out all the menus possible and read through every single one. I even made a list of my favorites. We really don't want to plan everything, just go and let Disneytake us, but I mean, Disney is all I can think about. I have to do something! :earseek:

We have an entire room dedicated to Disney...its our rec room. I have all of my animation art and autographed pictures from Aladin, Pocahantas, Lion King, one shelf full of plush characters and the other full of glass disney objects...so its pretty well stocked.

Good ideas. Were going in about a month and were all crazy and eager to go. What we do is play the Disney Trivia game and the Disney Scene It! game.

Also, if you brought a video camera there previously, watch the old tapes.

Uhh... go to WDW as often as possible? Being 86 miles away makes THAT a little easier! :bounce:

black562: We have a room like that too!

Soo jealous! I always wonder if I would get sick of it if I were so close. :rotfl2: yeah right.

I'm glad I'm not the only one out there! My DH is also sick of hearing "what do you think about this?", and insists he'll love whatever I decide on (be careful what you wish for!). I also spend a lot of time on allearsnet. Thanks for the tip about checking out of the library - I've limited myself to buying only one (or two) books. I have a countdown calendar in the kitchen - 95 DTD (in our house, that's Days til Disney) and counting! I'm also starting to prepare DS4 for what we'll see at Epcot (saying hello in the different languages - a tip I got from one of the DIS boards!) - he's really into learning about the world map lately, so that works in well. Getting those PS reservations done makes it seem like the trip is that much closer, and they are a good start for planning our daily itinerary. My next step will be clothes shopping - we're going in October, and if I wait til September there won't be any summer clothes left in any stores here.
