How do you do it???

I spent my whole day working on trying to make an autograph book and all it's done is driven me crazy! I don't know how you guys make it look so easy! I had to print pages that weren't the nicest looking because the nice ones use an insane amount of ink and i don't have microsoft word i have open office so all the functions everyone says they use so that the pages will be printed double sided i dont have. so i spent most of my day glueing sheets together and it looks absolutly horribble. The glue made it bumpy i cant cut straight to save my life so the pages are crocked .I just don't know what to do now so if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated. What I did is save the pages to a flash drive and go have them printed yourself at a office max or kinko's. Or you could even take them and have them developed onto photo paper at walgreen's or cvs.

Do they have to be printed back to back? Why not just do one sided?

I did not print back to back either. I glued (with a glue stick) pictures of my kids with the characters to the blank side once we got home. They made the perfect photo album for my kids to keep and constantly look through. Besides, if you don't use all the pages for autograph you can carefully rip them out.

This is what I did, I printed one sided.

I printed 2 to a letter size 110# paper. Cut them in half, put them in order by alpha and took it to Office Depot. I had them hole punch for a spiral binder and they put a backing and clear front on the book with the binding.

I found it cheaper to have them printed on photo paper through a place like artscow. It took awhile to get here but depending on the amount of time before your trip it might be worth it. I didn't put mine in an album til I got home. Instead I took a small clipboard and colored markers and kept my cards in a pencil case. We always had plenty of time to dig them out before we got to the characters.
