How do you decide which princess dress for which occasion for DD?

Many thanks! Nope, no itchy costumes here. When we pick up an occasional Disney Store costume, I usually have to cover the itchy seams with satin binding! I roll my eyes, but then when I feel it, I can understand!

I would love to see her BBB pics! Which characters has she been? My daughter (3 yo) wants to be Ariel. Have you made Little Mermaid costumes?

She wore the Aurora gown to the BBB. You can't really see her do though, since she put the crown back on! The Ariel on Land dress is the only Ariel I've done so far. We're just starting a list of what we want to do for the next trip. Some we just keep doing new versions, sometimes we look for completely new costumes. You name it, I've probably done it. I've finally done a Jasmine for a customer, and plan to do one for my DD for this next trip.

Enjoy having a 3 year old at Disney. It goes WAY too fast!

Hi! I snapped that photo just as we stepped off of the Snow White ride. It's one of the murals painted on the wall there. I guess I should have done that the day before when she rode it in her Snow White gown!

You sound like me. :)

Here is what I would do . . .

CRT- Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty or Snow White
Crystal Palace- Pooh Bear Something
Chef Mickey's- Minnie Mouse
Akershus- If you eat lunch Ariel is there so I would go with Ariel. Mulan is not always there.
1900 Park Fare- Cinderella
Garden Grill- Minnie Mouse
Hollywood n' Vine- Little Einsteins Something

Are you guys sure this thread isn't a joke aimed at me???? If there's a support group I need to join, this is it! We were at Disney in December for 6 days and brought the following:

Belle Gold
Belle Pink
Belle Red Christmas
HSM
Snow White
Snow White Rags
Cinderella Rags
Cinderella Pink (made by the mice)
Cinderella Blue Gown
Mary Poppins Jolly Holiday
Mary Poppins Nanny
Tinkerbell
Queen of Hearts
Ariel Lagoon Dress
Ariel Fin Costume
Ariel Green Gown
Pink Belle
Aurora pink
Briar Rose
Minnie Million Dreams
Mulan
Anastasia

No, that's not a joke. And no, I'm not COMPLETELY crazy..... I just love pictures of my daughter in her costumes in the parks. I just do a lot of research on who we expect to see where at the parks and bring those costumes that day in a big bag. I always rent a stroller so I don't have to carry the bag all day. But the trip to and from the bus is murder! PM me if you want more info on our research of where to find which characters!

Okay, I got a chance to go back and read the whole thread. :) I hope you had a wonderful time on your trip.

I can so join the "packs too much stuff" club! I make custom boutique clothes. I have two girls. In March we were in WDW for 15 days. The girls had 2 outfits per day- 30 outfits per girl- 60 outfits total! We took 60 pairs of bows- 120 total bows!!!! We actually had an entire suitcase full of bows. So, when your dh's complain you can say hey this crazy woman on the dis had an entire suitcase for bows. ;) I took me six months to sew everything and we had an absolute blast. I so cherish these days and will miss this time when it is over. I am very thankful for girlie girls!

Well, you can count on me using you as an example when my husband complains about all our "stuff" when we go this fall. I had a whole suitcase for crowns, shoes, etc. on our last trip, but it was just my daughter and me, so no one to complain about all the bags!

You GO and enjoy your girls dressed in their cute outfits, and take LOTS of memorable pics. If you don't scrapbook, you should.....

I would love to see pictures posted of your girls in something you made.

I always said I'd be in trouble if I had more than 1 girl. Now I know it's true!

Wanna be Vice President of my "takes WAY more stuff than is reasonable, but LOVES every minute of it" club??????????

I'm with you on that! They really need to come out with a better selection of Disney fabrics! I'm also trying to decide what to do for my daughter's casual outfits (not costumes... I ALWAYS have new ideas for those!) that I haven't done before.....

I would make an excellent Vice President! :) The crazy thing is everything was worn except one outfit. :) I will get some pics together and post in a bit.

We were so excited because we were able to take a two week vacation. Taking a trip like that will not happen again ever I am sad to say. Once my daughter starts school in the fall we will not have the opportunity until the age when she would rather die then go to WDW with her parents for two weeks.
