How do you decide? BW vs BCV vs any other property.

This chart from DVC Field Guide is a great source showing how difficult it is to book studios. BWV Standard and Boardwalk Views are among the most difficult:

My Addonitis is being severely exacerbated by my OCD :goodvibes With my latest BWV add on I'm now at 920 Points. My OCD needs that to be 1,000. I thought I would round-out that number by adding 80 points at BCV. BCV resale prices, with the exception of a fortunate few fellow posters, have not dipped as much as I had expected. My latest search turned up only 11 BCV listings with my Use Year across 13 broker's sites. The lowest point value was 100, but it also has the highest listed price of $185, and it's been listed for 8 Months. Highest Point Total = 350 /Lowest $PP = $138/Oldest Listing is 17 Months/Newest Listing = 3 Days.

Definitely. I'm glad I own at RIV. Was originally considering getting some resale points there but now I'm actually tempted to just buy them direct. This way in the future if there ends up being a lot of resale points that can only be used at RIV and the booking window gets tighter and tighter I can swap to another hotel if necessary.

We do own both but and I have been trying to get a resale contract again, but no takers for the price.

But, glad it didn’t happen because I think we are going to hold off and wait for Poly tower announcement and decide. I’d rather have 50 direct if I go RIV than 75 resale.

Unless resale prices take a dramatic dip, we also are holding off until Poly Tower.

Bought 125 points for $152/pt in 2021. It was a Dec UY and and banked 2020 and all 2021 and beyond.

It wasn’t that low but was $6k cheaper than what it would have been for direct so it worked
