How do you countdown to your trip?

We usually make a paper chain that wraps around our living room. We remove a chain each day until the chain is gone. This year I decided to do something different. Since we are going in October I decided to go with a Fall theme. I made a tree with 119 leaves (yeah only 119 days left). We will remove on leave each day until they are all gone. I numbered each leaf so you actually have to hunt for the leaf of the day to remove. It took a long time to make, but it came out great. Here is a picture of it:

What a great idea!!! I'm going to steal your idea, but with snowflakes--we don't get snow in San Antonio!!!

LOVE the idea..I think we will steal it too..going in December, so we will do some sort of xmas themed one!...Very cute! We also have done hershey kiss' in a jar..one each night until the vaca. A little easier to do I am sure, but it does the trick.

I love the tree idea... next trip (2007, maybe???) I will be "stealing" your idea too! We have a paper chain too and on each link, we took turns writing something we love about WDW. Every time we cut a link off, we talk about what's written and then squeal, "it's only X more days!!!!! 25 and counting!!!!

oh keep them coming!! I think I am going to do a Haloween them since we are doing a MNSSHP - even though it is the first week of Oct.
