I don't cope with it!:rotfl: Every year we say 'ok next year we're going to go somewhere else' but then I find my self looking at youtube, going on the boards and searching for good deals until DH gives in and says 'ok we'll go back'. Mainly because the thought of going somewhere just to sit by a pool feels such a waste of money and I just can't see the point in going all the way to the Caribbean to do that when Spain, Greece etc is on the door step, but I also don't want to go there again..City brakes are just that, breaks for a few days. A cruise never has and never will appeal to us and other places we want to go need longer than a couple of weeks because of the distance involved. So all in all Florida has it ALL for us. And we just put up with the 'why are going there AGAIN?' rubbish...:)

I sulk like a moody teen, search flights constantly sometimes sneak in a cheeky DLP to get a fix

I tend to bury myself in making mementos from previous trips. I love scrapbooking and crafts and so does DD so we fill our time either by doing something with the memories of the last trip or planning and making things for the next one. We sat this year out and although it's not 2 full years between visits for us because we are going earlier than usual next year, it still feels like something is amiss not having been. It's also the first time since 2007 that we have not had a trip booked for more than a month or so after returning from a visit so that felt strange.

That said, once the initial blues of the return have settled, life tends to resume to normal, throwing plenty distractions along the way.

Keep busy, keep yourself informed so you are up to date and armed with all the info you need when you are ready to plan the next one. That's fairly easy at the moment with all the changes happening right now :)

I'll go along with most of what Lee said. We didn't go this year as we went to Africa instead which was amazing, but having said that I do miss not going to WDW terribly. This is the 1st time I've stayed on the boards from the moment we came back from our last trip (last October) and I have to say even though at first it was hard hearing about other folks trips it has actually helped and of course I've been able to live my trips vicariously through them :goodvibes

Also with the introduction of MDE, FP+ etc being on the boards and keeping up with all the news has been invaluable.

I have absolutely no advice I can give you because I CAN'T COPE :rolleyes2 - for the last few years, I have made sure I had my next trip booked before I even go on my current one! I just can't stand not know when I'll be going back.

It'll be at least 5 years in between my trips to WDW, last one was 2010 and next one will hopefully be in 2015, I did go to Disneyland California in 2011, and on a Disney Cruise in 2012 though, but this year and next year we've no big holiday planned because of just buying a house and having a baby so I've had those to ever so slightly take my mind off it but now the withdrawal has really kicked in and knowing its still over 2 years off is hard.

I still come on here most days and love reading TRs. I've actually tried not to read too much about the updates so that I can do all that when I know I actually am going back rather than torment myself now. As well as reading other peoples TRs I love re-reading mine and looking at photos.

Yeah, I don't cope so well either :rotfl:

Hence why we are going three years in a row (which nobody understands except my mum)!

I got to the point in 2011 where I just HAD to find the money to go back... And we have planned every year since. We did do DLP two years during our long break, but DH has vowed never to go back there as WDW is so much better!!

We hadn't really planned on doing three years in a row but we were searching from the day we got back in August and eventually booked for next year a couple of weeks back :)

Whoops... ;)

i'm on this board alot to get tips for the next trip although it's not until 2015 and last visit was 2006! Purely down to finances. Although we are off to Disney on Ice Friday night which will be a mini fix :goodvibes

With great difficulty! :rotfl:

We've had a Disney holiday every year since 2004 whether it be to WDW or DLP and this year we were lucky and did DCL and DL. Next year is going to be REALLY hard as we're being sensible and doing some much needed TLC on the house. We have a dummy cruise booked which we're not planning on going on until 2015 ..... but who knows, maybe we'll weaken ..... ;)

It's only money (lack of it) that prevents me going every year. I am going to book for 2015 after Christmas which will give me something to look forward to. I do what many of us do - re-live the last trip through memories and photos.:goodvibes

I haven't been since dec 2010 & it's awful, and I have been very absent from the boards because of it! I've made savings plans over & over, watch tons of you tube videos, I've snuck in 2 short 2 day trips to Paris just to get a fix, it is horrible. it's all about when can I get there again with me, my family are sick of it to be honest lol!
I was supposed to be saving up for a 2 week Orlando trip in 2015 & I've gone & booked a one week wdw only for next summer, which is silly really but my mood has improved tons because I know I'm going!
and I'm only doing it really as my 3 older kids will be away with their dad so I can actually afford to take my then 2 year old. luckily my kids are very understanding & know they will definitely be going back.
so it's a money thing with me

The long and short of it is, you don't cope! I am going the week after next for 21 nights, which is a massive blow out for us. I don't think we will ever be able to afford ever again what we are spending this year, and unfortunately, life throws more important things in your direction, such as buying houses etc! I know when I come back I will be so down in the dumps! We have provisionally pencilled in late 2016 for our next trip, which is much much too far away. We are doing it on a budget next time though, so I guess I will have lots of fun figuring that out, but I am just preparing myself for 3 years without Disney :-(

so you all sugesting the best thing to do is book another one lol i think i might just have to then lol

We had a break from 1999 to 2006. We got married, bought a house etc and just couldn't afford it.

I didn't think about it and we only holidayed in this country.

Once we went back in 2006 it has increased the desire to go except now it's not just Disney but Orlando and Florida as well.

I go to the disney store a lot!

We have a baby due in 6 weeks and are not planning to go back to wdw for 3 years minimum.

Going to centre parks and other short breaks in the uk next year (get the use out of our new family car :drive: ) and then if disney cruises are in the med in 2015 do one of them.

I still have our booking for a 12 night transatlantic disney cruise next year, have avoided cancelling it so far as we got such a great deal! Hopefully we can move it to 2015 pixiedust:
