How do you change your tag?

I'm not asking the tag fairy for any special favors (though, TF--can I call you TF?--if you FEEL like tagging me, I certainly won't complain. BTW, I'm a big fan, I love your work. Do you think that I could maybe grow up to be a tag fairy some day?) but I swear I've looked a hundred times and I can't figure out how to change my tag. I've seen that other people have done this, so can anyone tell me how it's done? I just want something more clever than "DIS Veteran". Is this a feature that's not allowed anymore?

There's a line in the profile section of your User CP that says "custom text" or something along those lines. Just type in whatever you wish!!

Could this possibly be something that I don't have access to yet? For instance, is it like "DIS Veteran" where you get it after so many posts?

Click on user cp than click edit profile, scroll down and custom user text should be right under where you list your birthday.

actually, I think you do have to be registered for 30 days....that could be the problem you're having.

tiggersmom2~ You're looking for an avatar. Go to user CP under "edit options" and there should be some for you to choose there, or you can use your own pic if you stay within the board limits. I haven't done this in a long time, so if you want to use your own pic, you'll have to ask someone else!

Click on user cp than click on edit options at the bottom of the page it will say change avatar. Click on that and it will show a bunch to choose from I think there is 4 or 5 pages to choose from.
Click on the little circle next to the picture you want than click submit modifications.

Yup, that's probably it--I'm not quite at the 30 day mark yet. Thank you everyone who helped! I'll keep an eye out for it so I can change to something more interesting.

Gotta be careful what you say around the Tag Fairy!!

Quick pointer...don't try to change it if you want to keep your nice, colorful tag! If you try to add to it or change it, your "tag" will disappear!! And you'll have to wait for the Tag Fairy to find you again!!
