My velcro dog turned 5 today -- we got him at the pound at 11 months old. Hard to believe he is still here - lol! I always say he trained us, not the other way around. He is 95 lbs. and I used to catch him on top of the kitchen table on all fours! He beheaded all my DD's Barbies and put teeth marks on anything that didn't move. Well he is a love now I always ask him what he did so bad to get sent to the pound -- but he never spills the beans.

We took him out for ice cream with doggie biscuits. Last year he got water ice and didn't like it, but he loved the non-fat vanilla yogurt with biscuits.

I dont do nothing, I dont even know when it is

My big old dumb-and-happy lab mix turned 13 yesterday!

The old gray muzzled lady celebrated with extra doggie treats, lots of belly rubs, and a few table scraps that I snuck to her when DH wasn't looking... :teeth:

I made a special "doggy" cake for my dog.... and she got some presents.... and we actually sang Happy Birthday to her. She looked at us like we were insane. Maybe we are.... (But it was fun!) :D

Velcro dog? Happy Birthday to your furbaby.:)

My puppy's bday is January 31.:) We got him a chicken nugget happy meal for his bday, put a party hat on him and bought him a big bottle of bubbles (he likes to try to catch them) and got him some treats.:) He thought we were nuts. We also had a couple of his doggy friends over and put hats on them, but they kept trying to eat them.

Cupcake, candle, and song some cards come too. :) Happy birthday for them, Kallison and Kathy.

NC Belle's and my dog, Jessie just turned 2 this past Monday (May10)---no celebration other than singing happy birthday. The poor girl had gotten sick with ear infection. But, she got special treats after she got well.

When our Bobby turned 10 we had a birthday party for her. I sent invitations, ordered a decorated cake, and had a party. I planned it just as a silly day with my young nieces and nephews but it turned into a family picnic. A funny thing was a couple of the kids were afraid of dogs so birthday Bobby spent the afternoon in a bedroom. I did bring her out for singing and a little cake.
If that wasn't goofy enough I threw a puppy shower when my nephew was getting his first dog.

We have dog cake, hats, streamers, and presents. We have family and a few dog friends over. They also get McD's cheeseburgers on their birthdays.

You think the dog birthday party is crazy? My mom actually made them an easter egg hunt with beggin strips in eggs. (we have no kiddos yet, and she has no grandkids, just the granddogs, so we tend to go a little nuts over the puppies) The dogs are going to have a fit when there are kids....

My puppy Jake turns 1 tomorrow! I'm still not sure how we're going to mark the occasion.

We always celebrate our dogs birthday because she's a special part of the family! She turned 10 on January 24 so she's had quite a few birthdays. Usually our grandparents come over and we give her a little party. She gets a couple presents and we also get a birthday cake. Of course she doesn't get any of that, but she does get Frosty Paws, the doggie ice cream. Her favorite part is when we sing Happy Birthday, she always barks to sing along with us.

My doggie gets a cupcake and a toy. She loves to get presents!

Happy birthday to Velcro, Kallison!

My Maxidog has had only one birthday so far. (He's only 18 months old.)

His birthday is November 9--easy to remember because my son's is August 9. We celebrated with me making a turkey and giving Max a turkey, gravy and baked potato dinner. We bought him some new toys and wrapped them, so he could rip the wrapping paper open. He enjoys that so!

We topped the celebration off with vanilla cupcakes. I put a candle in Max's, and we sang to him. He is not the kind of dog who would tolerate wearing a party hat, so we skipped that.

December 26 is our Maxi-versary, the date we brought Max home. That night, I cooked a prime rib and gave Max a nice juicy bone from it. You never in your life saw a happier dog than Max when he got that bone in his jaws!

We have 2 cocker spaniels and a DD(4) and we celebrate their birthdays with "eat like a dog night". Both of our dogs love plain spaghetti noodles, so they get some noodles and we eat our spaghetti with sauce from bowls with no utensils and no hands.

I'm not joking...it's a pretty funny sight and my daughter goes straight into the tub when we're done! Thank goodness it's only twice a year!

My collie will be 14 at the end of May, May 30th. its the same days as my moms birthday. LOL And the pups birthdays is June 1st. I usually get them each a cupcake for each of their birthdays. We sing and my DS blows out the candles.

We always celebrate our schnauzer, Max's birthday.
Baskin and robbins cake. He and the other two dogs get to dig into it. Other times we just get a regular cake and they get a little bit of it with frosty paws ice cream.

The cat, Lorelei gets something pink!

Hmm, I just realized that our puppy will turn 1 on Oct. 9, the same day we check into the Poly, I guess we'll celebrate her b'day by going to Disney World. I'll leave a cupcake for Annabelle & her caregiver to enjoy. Sorry Annabelle!!
