Just wondering what everyone uses to carry their money, camera, maps, chapstick, etc. with them into the parks? I used my Vera Bradley Mimi backpack last year and am planning on taking it again this year. It worked great! Nothing fell out and it is very soft. I was able to either put it on my lap or down by my feet during the rides. Its so compact, but roomy. I don't have any children, so no diaper bag :cool1: Not this year anyway....maybe the next trip or 2 I might have one. ;) We'll see if I get to bring back a 'little souvenir' from our honeymoon at WDW. :cloud9: :earseek:

First few trips we used a backpack. Then, since I got tired of being the one carrying said backpack, we switched to fanny packs for each person. Then, I basically was the only one wearing a fanny pack since we didn't have too much stuff to carry. I'm going in Nov and just bought a fabric type backpack. It's pretty small and is much more comfy than my old backpack. I'll be putting Disney type decorations on it since it will only be used for trips to WDW.

To carry passes, cc, room keys and good old cash I wear a waterproof neck pouch that tucks right under my shirt. No fanny pack anymore but do take a backpack as I still have a little guy. In it I have change of clothes for him (in ziplock), camera and extra film (again in a ziplock), ponchos, a few trader pins, autograph book, pen, hand wipes. bug stuff, washcloth (again in ziplock!), bottled water on side and thats about it. I like having the backpack with me. Is really not too full but by the end of the day at the parks it is usually full with goodies that I have picked up. I also take a Mickey bandana that I have tied on to it to attach to the stoller to identify mine from the others. I loop the backpack straps right over the bar of the stoller. Has worked great for me! :)

Check out the thread "alternative to a backpack and a fanny pack" on this forum. Has lots of good info.

I am trying a small backpack for the first time this year. Fanny packs never had quite enough room for everything (if you bring a camera, especially). My new small backpack has just enough room for everything including a light jacket, but isn't bulky at all. The opening for the main pocket also rests against my back, so I won't have to worry about someone pickpocketing my wallet (which was a worry of mine).

I may not like the backpack once I try it, though, so am bringing a medium crochet purse that has a strap long enough that it can be worn across the body. That has worked for me the last couple of times I went. Nice to have options!!

My pockets worked really well chapstick, lipstick, money (what little I carried) gum and park guides all went in shorts pockets camera as well.

I have a backpack with me almost all the time I'm at Disney (okay, an outside of Disney as well. Got used to carrying a pack everywhere in high school and never gave it up.). That holds just about everything I need. I do keep a wallet in a front pocket of whatever pants or shorts I'm wearing and I keep a separate "ID Holder" (I still use mine from college) for my ticket and room key. That usually goes in the other pocket along with chapstick and my Leatherman Micra (small multi-tool with scissors that I also carry everywhere but on the plane).
