How do you cancel a resale contract?

All the pertinent information is in this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=6196661#post6196661 so I won't repeat it here. If I wanted to cancel a resale contract with another third party how do I go about it? I have until the 13th to cancel, so I have to decide today if I'm going to or not. Can I just fax notice in, or do I have to send the letter? I plan on doing both, and overnighting the letter so it will still be received in time. What do I say? Do I just say that we're canceling the contract pursuant to clause 12 in the contract and list all pertinent information? Basically I'm trying to understand everything so I can make an informed decision. Also, if anyone has actually done this and can share their experiences, I'd appreciate it!! THANKS!!!

Lori, we cancelled a resale contract earlier this year. In our case, it was simply a matter of sending an e-mail to the resale broker advising her of our decision (although I believe we did call her first asking what we needed to do). Since you are within your 10-day cancellation policy, you are certainly within your right to do so (although I'm like you and would feel badly about "pulling the rug out")! But sometimes ya gotta do what's best for you and your family!

Thanks RuthnPaul! That's exactly how I feel. Well, I think that's what I want to do, but DH isn't sure yet. He's still debating, but the add-on through DVC is just so much neater, and for only $600 more, worth it IMO. When I can get in touch with DH I'm going to tell him that I think we should back out and then I'm going to call the reseller. Any other advice would be GREAT!!!!!
