Through a travel agent?
AAA?
Online via Expedia or hotels.com?
Directly with Disney, the airlline, and rental car companies?

Which have you found to be the most cost effective? Easier to book? Easier to change?

Inquiring mind want to know!

Thanks!

I tried going through TA a few times and I tried going through AAA for our upcoming January trip and each time it comes down to me being able to do much better for us then anyone ales can.

Since I do things in chunks, I want to control it myself. The TA industry around where I live keeps losing businesses steadily. I don't think I'd want to rely on them not knowing how long the particular TA would be in business. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Last year we tried Small World Vacations that I found on mousesaver.com. I was just tired of constantly looking for codes and discounts myself. Small World (WDWVacations.com) assigned us a local agent (Josephine). She originally got us a AAA discount. As time went out two better deals came out so she changed our reservations (always with our permission) and finally ended saving us $800.00.
What impressed me most was when the first hurricane hit last August. We could not fly into Orlando and Josephine and her family could not leave that day. I didn't know what to do so I left her a voice mail and an e-mail message. From WDW she contacted me that Disney offered us a complete refund or they would transfer all our money to another reservation. What remarkable service!
Jo also made all our dining reservations for us....how nice not having to be on the phone with Disney Dining.
Great service, great people, and FREE!!!!!
I will always let this Disney specialist take care of our future trips.

For our WDW trips I have used American Express T/A, Dreams Unlimited, AAA, each one time. All of the other times I have booked everything myself. Our trip coming up in October I booked thru AAA. It was the only discount I could find since we wanted to book a dining package. We booked last January as one of the perks for a AAA pkg. was an additional $25 in Disney Dollars. I still book my airfare and car rental on my own for the best prices.
