How do people become VoluntEARS?? Do you have to live in Florida or California or are the all over the country??

Most major corporations have a volunteer organization. Most also advertise the fact to show their good citizenship.

For DH's company, when the kids and I show up to an event and help they count us too. DH's company advertises volunteer opportunities in internal publications and lists if individual projects are open to friends and family or just employees.
