check in at the Poly concierge? Do we have to wait in the line, or do we check in in the concierge building? We were never sent an itinerary plan sheet, do we need to prove that we are staying concierge?

That's strange that you were not contacted, but the phone number is 407-824-2466. Give them a call and double check that everything is in order for you. If you are on the concierge level, you should get a separate key or identify yourself at the entrance and they'll take you onto the concierge for check-in. Have a great trip!!!!

Thanks, VAgal. We were not contacted by the concierge planning office, but I did call them. I think it's weird that I didn't get any written confirmation of the PS's that I made through them. I was wondering without that confirmation from the concierge how would we be able to check in. I thought I had read somewhere that concierge guests can by-pass the regular check in process. Does anyone know about this?

We have stayed at the Poly concierge three times. (All before knowing about these boards) Never have been contacted.

The guard has a list of poeple checking in and who is staying concierge. I think he phones the bell service desk. When we pull up, the bellman knows already we are staying concerge, puts our luggage in the golf cart (if the room is ready). We hop in the golf cart and he takes us to the Hawaii building to check in at the desk there. He has a key card to let us in.

You do bypass the front desk if you're staying in Hawaii.

When you pull up to the front of the hotel, just let the first person who approaches your car know that you're staying concierge. They'll check to see if your room is ready. If it isn't, they'll store your bags or you can keep them in your car if you prefer....assuming you'll have a car.

Regardless if the room is ready or not, you'll be given a ride to the Hawaii building and a tour around the resort if you want. They usually ask if we've stayed at the Polynesian before and since we have around 30 times, we're driven straight to the building. If your room is ready the man from bell services will take you right to your room and you can walk down to the concierge lounge when you're ready to check in.

If the room isn't ready, you will be able to check in at the lounge, go upstairs and get some juice, etc. until your room is ready.

Have a great stay...it's a special place.
