How do we think Frozen ride will Tier?

This wouldn't work. Test Track + Frozen will only handle around 20,000 guests, this needs to be 30,000. Even adding a M&G and Illuminations to this would not be sufficient.

Thus, you will have:
Tier 1:
Frozen, TT, Soarin, Illuminations, A&E.
These combined will handle a little over 30,000 guests.
(just like it was before, with Maelstrom instead of Frozen)
If Frozen handles more guests than Maelstrom did, Illuminations could drop down.

Tier 2:
MS, SE, Figment, Seas, LWTL, Disney Pals, Turtle Talk
These combined will handle around 80,000 guests, which is perfect with each getting 2.

It's just a matter of breaking up the capacities so that there are enough for each guest to get the FP's they are entitled to.

Are you taking in to account increased capacity at Soarin?
This is the only reason I have given thought to Illuminations moving to Tier 1. It's the one I'm most unsure of though.
I sure doesn't NEED to be Tier 1, it's one of the last to go but I can also see them leaving it.

The Soarin increase may take it from 12000 to 17000 right? That is 5000 extra, so I think there is going to be sufficient capacity between Soarin, TT, and Frozen (and M&G). Illuminations will just depend on where the Disney powers want that to be. Do they want a non-ride attraction offering in Tier 1? Do they want this in Tier 2? The capacity low so do they want to keep it low or do they want a lot of people to take this as a FastPass? If they make it a Tier 2, then they should add more Illuminations viewing space, because many people will take it as a Tier 2, but hardly any would take it as a Tier 1.

I wonder if early morning bookings are way up at Akershus starting in May. If I had a trip planned, I would totally have one every day I'm at Epcot.

I think either

A) A&E is not tier 1

or

B) Tiers go away

If they do keep tiers, Space and Land both go to tier 2.

How will the A&E meet and greet location work into this? That is probably going to be FP+ eligible too, right? Tier 2? Any chance they get rid of the tiers altogether?

I think the meet and greet will be Tier 1, too.

Epcot should have 3 tiers. Split them up this way and you even out crowds. And Disney can make sure they get 2 days out of most visitors in Epcot. you get 1 from each tier each day.

tier 1 should be
-Test Track
-Frozen

tier 2 should be
- mission space
- Soarin

Tier 3
- Spaceship earth
- crush

Everything else needs to get off the fast pass system.

What are the two hardest to get FP+ in the Magic Kingdom? A&E and the new ride, 7DMT. They are next to each other. Their entrances are probably even closer to each other than the two in Norway will be.

Now we are moving A&E to Epcot along with opening a new ride. They are next to each other. They will actually have more space and less people milling about (no other attractions like Fantasyland) by them. Folks will either enter a SB line, enter a FP+ line, enter the restaurant or keep on moving by to the next country.

Having them both Tier 1 is the only thing that makes sense given the very high demand for them. The reason behind the Tiers is to spread the most popular ones out among the guests and make you choose. And let's not forget that moving the girls back to Epcot is going to pull all those families back to Epcot who had finally included it in their schedule when they were there before. Increased crowds means an increase demand on FP+ and even with this the park is really only adding one attraction (the Meet & Greet) and some increased capacity at Soarin'. Soarin' will be even more popular with the new movie so while the extra 87 seats will be helpful, the ride will now have more demand than before (I was happy to skip it's worn show but now want to see it).

More than likely it will be Tier 1.. The big possible caveat here will be whether or not the new Frozen attraction follows the WS operating schedule or opens before WS.. Currently WS does not open until 11am so unless they decide to make an exception and open the ride before the rest of WS, anyone at RD may have to wait until 11am..

This is what I've done. I'm going first week in June and have various meals booked at Akershus throughout the week, including a couple of breakfasts in the hopes that might get us in there before open. We're staying offsite so if FP bookings open before our 30-day window opens, it might be our only chance.

I imagine that they'll open Mexico and Norway at park open, and leave the rest of the Showcase as is.

Im glad this next trip we don't have to worry about meeting Anna and Elsa we did last time and my daughter said she's ok not seeing them again whenever we go next (the trip is a surprise) But we will def want to do the ride.

Thats such Bull. I mean really. But World showcase doesn't open till 11 right? So you'd have to hit TT and Soarin at RD and Fast pass Frozen or go straight there. I saw the post Josh did about getting people to Test Track first thing at RD and I don't like that whole be herded like cattle to a freaking ride all the way from the park entrance.

I have to think they'll open Norway at park open. They eventually did that at the height of the A/E meet & greet frenzy.

Really the most interesting thing I think about this, I don't think there is any question that Frozen will be Tier 1 ... I just wonder how they will handle the WS opening. I didn't see it when the M&G was there ... did they just open Norway ???
