How do we split the points for ressies?

We will be traveling with good friends, also DVC members, and I remember reading some time ago that with a little pixie dust, we should be able to split the point usage in 1/2 for our 2 bdrm reservation. I was unable to find the info in a search. Can anyone share their espeience and info. Thanks in advance

Or you could make 2 separate reservations and link them which might be more comfortable for many people.

We transferred points into my parents account. (They were going to transfer points into my account, but their points were banked and this was not allowed). It was a very painless process. The other option as Dean mentioned is that you can make 1/2 the number of nights reservations and they can make the other 1/2 and link them. The only problem with this is that it may not come out to exactly half the number of points depending on your stay.
