How do we sell iTunes cards?

My son got some iTunes gift cards for his Bar Mitzvah, and he really has very little use for them. We would like to sell them and use the funds for other gift cards he could use instead (or maybe even deposit some of the $$!) I looked at eBay, but we really don't want to lose value if possible. Are there other places online to sell these at face value?...or other tips? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Is there someone that you could gift them to in the family? Or someone you know may want to purchase them?

No one is going to pay you face value for your unwanted gift cards when they can go to a store and buy iTunes GCs, often for less than the face value.

People who buy from gift card exchanges are looking to get a bargain. For instance, iTunes GCs are currently selling at Raise .com for about 11% off of the face value and Raise is taking a cut from the amount buyers pay. The seller is getting even less.

You might be able to sell them on ebay for face value because people can use their ebay bucks to pay for them. But in that case, you will pay ebay a listing fee and final value fee. So even if someone pays face value for the GC, you will net much less.

As the PP suggested, if you want to retain the full value of those iTunes GCs, then your best hope is to re-gift them.

I think I saw that ebay still had them for 20% off earlier today (been that way most of December), so I would agree with PPs. Best to regift them or expect to get less than face value.

If you got 90% of the value, I think you would be doing really well. Especially since iTunes gift cards often sell on eBay and at other retailers for upwards of 20% discount. My brother bought some on Black Friday for 30% off, so good luck getting face value on them. I agree with the PP, regift them.

Cardpool.com
Target is having a program now.
I think Game Stop has some program too

Just regift them. Maybe you have a family member or friend who would be willing to pay you for them.

I only buy iTunes gift cards when I can get them at a 25% or greater discount. The past couple years, I've been able to get 40% off. They can be had almost every day at 10%-15% off.
