Any suggestions to get the most out of the trip? How can we make time stand still for 7 days!!!?

Hey, we're ALL trying to figure that one out!!!!!!!!!!

This will be our second cruise...Last year's was only 4 days so this one will be longer...

I guess just plan ahead well, so you don't waste precious time on your cruise trying to figure things out... get copies of the Navigator before you go so you have an idea of the days' itineraries... research, research, research....and then allow for things to change..

And most importantly, enjoy every moment for itself...

Is it possible to not sleep for 7 nights? :teeth:

Sleep takes up very valuable time.

ENJOY the time and accept the fact that you can't do everything. SAVOR the moment so you will have great memories to bring home.

It would be great if we could change the flow of time.

It seems when you're on the cruise, time flies. The rest of the year time seems to drag...

"How much longer till our next Disney Cruise?"

I told a friend that I found a way to slow time... Book a Disney Cruise a year ahead of time.:D

Try it .... it works!

Do what I did, I booked the 14 day eastbound next august.

If you find an answer to your question you will be a rich lady!

Nothing works, but book another cruise while onboard. Besides the savings, knowing when you leave the ship that there is another cruise on the horizon helps!!

Hide in the lifeboat and then start it all over again.

Most important -- enjoy each day and remember you can't do it all. There simply isn't enough time. Book another cruise while you're on board. It will give you something to look forward to. HTH

jlawall, haven't cruised yet, but I plan on booking our next cruise while onboard, at least it will give us something else to look forward to (and obsess over) once we hit land again!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

We managed to make our cruise seem longer..................... we did a back to back! Worth every penny! Nat:Pinkbounc

Well it won't make the actual cruise longer, but I always do a scrapbook after we cruise and it is great for bringing back memories.

Thx everyone for excellent tips!!!!! (I chuckled over the DMIL tip!!) Wish I could afford the back to back idea!

Hey there jlawall, my fellow 7/31 traveller!

I would say that the best way is to wake up early and stay up late. You do so much relaxing during the days at sea and in the ports that I never feel tired enough to go to sleep early, nor the real need to sleep in.

You can make a cruise seem longer if you go on Disney, and then take a second cruise on another cruise line. It won't be as much fun, so it will seem like it will never end.

I always seem to get sad on Wednesday of the 7 day cruise, because I know it is 1/2 way over.

Make them drag you off the ship screaming and kicking.

Start your trip off like we do. Take the day off (or half) the day before you leave, get yourselves manicures & pedicures, have a great dinner and a few celebratory drinks. Leave for the cruise at least an extra day before sailing if not two and use Cocoa Beach like it is a port stop! Be on the ship as early as they will let you, and enjoy the entire day aboard....letting it roll into the next 6.

This will make your trip expand from 7 days to 8,9,or 10, without too much extra cost.
