How do we get to Hoop Dee Doo?

I'm interested in this, too. Anybody got a clear cut, step by step fastest way to get to HDDR thing? My head hurts :rotfl2:

Robo, How would you recommend going to Pioneer Hall from the Poly? Is there a Poly bus after the 7:30 show. TIA

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Going to the Hoop?
Here's the scoop:

From a RESORT (except Wilderness Lodge, Contemp, Poly & GndFlor):
Bus to DTD, EPCOT, DAK or MGM (then see below)

From DTD or EPCOT or DAK Parks:
A.
Bus to FtW.
Change to Internal FtW bus to Pioneer Hall.

B.
Bus to Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary.
Walk to boat landing. Boat to FtW.

From MGM Park:
Bus to FtW (goes directly to Pioneer Hall "Hoop" area).

From MK Park:
Walk to center MK boat landing (read signs). Boat to FtW.

From the Poly and Grand Floridian:
A. Monorail to MK.
Walk to center MK boat landing (read signs). Boat to FtW.

B. Boat to MK.
Walk to the center MK boat landing (read signs). Boat to FtW.

The farther distance you are from the HOOP, allow more travel time.
1.5 hours is good if you're not SURE.
------------------------------------------------------------------
AFTER the HOOP show:

Going to RESORT (except Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Poly & GndFlor)
Go UP the path to the bus load area.
Then, ASK bus driver (because it varies.)

SURE-FIRE route: (this will always work 'til 2am)
FtW Bus to "front" FtW bus area. (ask the bus driver, he LOVES to help)
Change to DTD bus.
At DTD, change to the bus marked to your resort.

GUESTS staying at Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary:
Walk DOWN the path to Boat dock.
Take boat to Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary.

GUESTS staying at Poly or GndFlor:
Walk DOWN the path to Boat dock.
Take boat to Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary.
Take monorail to your resort.

(If its too LATE, the boats may not be operating.
If so, go up to the bus loading area and "join the crowd".)

------------------------------------------------------------------
It is possible that when the MK is open LATE, you can boat back there and catch a bus to your resort.
BUT, if MK is near CLOSING TIME, the bus area can be a ZOO.
------------------------------------------------------------------

If this is enough info, STOP READING and go enjoy your vacation!

------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of this post explains (IMHO) some of the CONFUSION posted in this thread.

The routes getting to and from the HOOP are the MOST CHALLENGING in all of WDW!

FtW (where the HOOP is located) has both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL buses and two KINDS (routes) of internal buses, at that.

FtW has 2 or 3 (depending on the season) BOAT routes that serve it.
The boats dock at a different location than where the buses load.

At night, there are not always "DIRECT" ways of getting back to OTHER RESORTS from the (very popular) HOOP.
You CAN'T always just "RETRACE your STEPS" to get back.

To make things WORSE, WDW has changed the location (and added a location) of where to board buses to/from the MK (closest theme-park to the HOOP.)

Soooo... everyone seems to have an OPINION on just how to make the HOOP trip.
Some based on outdated info... some based on a specific TIME OF YEAR... some based on a PARTICULAR TIME of Hoop performance... some based on a certain DAY of the WEEK... some based on a particular RESORT, etc.

If you follow the directions at the top of this post, you will be able to get to and from the HOOP and have a fine time!

Are there other ways?
Sure. (This is DISNEY.)

But the ones posted will work for you.

(At least until WDW transportation makes more changes!) :goodvibes

Great job Robo.

I just want to throw a little wrench into the works. :teeth:

If you are at MGM, the FtW bus takes you directly to Pioneer Hall so you don't need to take an internal bus. (Unless it changed recently).

Yes, it does do that. I'll edit that in.
